A true rare Barn Find 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 2 door. 352 C.I. 4 barrel, Automatic. This car is incredibly original. If you are looking for a Galaxie to build like you want to, you will be way ahead of the game with this one. Very carefully started engine by removing spare plugs and squirting SeaFoam and Marvel Mystery oil in each cylinder, Changed the oil and filter, installed a new set of points, distributor cap and condenser, Rotated engine by hand a bit and then installed a battery and hit the key. Engine rolled over nicely so I installed new spark plugs, unhooked the fuel line from the fuel pump and carburetor. I then had someone sit in the car and crank it while I dribbled fresh gas into the top of carburetor....Started right up. The car last ran 1n 1988 and yes...the engine sounds good but will nee to be gone through and I an sure the valve seals are rotten and it probably never had hard exhaust seats installed. This car is incredibly....almost Rust free. A little bubbling is starting on the left rear quarter. The underneath and body body mounts not rusted. Very shocking, I could not believe my eyes. it will also need a new fuel tank as it is smashed in but I did drain it and it had 12 gallons or rotten fuel in it anyway. all of the chrome is in excepionally good shape, even has the original hub caps that go along with the dog dish ones that are on the car now. The right rear tail light eye brow has a small dent. Look at the pictures and I have more of the underneath of car. Car has never been repainted and is all original. Possible the carb was replaced with a remanufactured one and the battery tie bar is missing. A few small dents and dings, the front seat was not even tore till I had to sit in it. Headliner is rotting in a few places. I even have the 2 original keys from ford. Car is located in Denver Colorado. Please contact me with any questions....Jim. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
