These first generation Falcons were the basis for the 1964½ Mustangs released by Ford one year later. The Falcon was redesigned for the 1964 model year with a more squared off body to appeal a younger market. This particular Falcon has been kept mostly original. The car has 44,000 miles on it, and the car has been kept up over the years. The 170 CID inline 6 cylinder engine has been professionally rebuilt and runs as smooth as it did when it was new. The original 3-speed manual transmission is the perfect match to the inline engine and sends the power to the 3.50 geared rear end. The combo of the transmission and rear end will allow this Falcon Futura to easily cruise at highway speeds. There have been many upgrades and restoration that was completed as recent as 2016 with the brake system completely overhauled including a new master cylinder, all wheel cylinders, rear brakes and drums,new suspension, a new convertible top, new upholstery, and a great looking repaint of the rare factory original Dynasty Green exterior.
