73 Mustang Convertible

73 Mustang convertible. 351 with automatic transmission. I purchased this car here on ebay several weeks ago for $5k to ship to a customer of mine in Europe who fixes, restores old Fords. He passed before it could be shipped and the family doesn't wish to continue with his Mustang interest.

It is the fully equipped, power steering, A/C, power window version with the full console, clock and the rim blow steering wheel, Odometer states 78xxxK miles. No way of knowing if this is actual miles. Car has indications it has been sitting for years. The Q code engine was replaced with a 73 351 Cleveland engine, both rear quarters have had past repairs, both doors and fenders have rust. Floor pans have had prior repairs and need additional repairs. Driver seat track needs fixing/welding.The car starts and runs. has a new battery of smaller size than it should have. The steering needs attention as we found it hard, don't know what it is nor are we going to involve ourselves in diagnostics. Tires have plenty life, but are very old. This was a northern car and it has plenty rust, mainly on frame rails, EXTENSIVE RUST on frame rails and the body. This is the emphasis! RUST. Pics were taken as close up as possible to clearly show the rust on the body. Convertible top is history but the rear glass is intact. Needs convertible top!
