Description |

I would like to preface this description by mentioning the fact that every car that I have purchased sight unseen has not lived up to the overly optimistic description by the seller. In fact, I have been blatantly lied to about the quality of the vehicles up for sale. That being said, I will offer an honest assessment of the vehicle in question.
This is a numbers matching Boss 302 Mustang that I purchased in 2010. All original sheet metal other than drivers side rear quarter. Do not know the reason for the replacement. Paint is driver quality at best. It has it's fair share of chips and cracks. Paint is bubbling at the base of both doors. Dash pad is uncracked but shows very subtle bubbling. 8 Track does not work, shocker. Steering wheel has multiple cracks, horn does not work. Gauges all work, but dash lights are dim, several bulbs must be burned out. Has aftermarket Sun tach attached to steering column. Heater core has been bypassed and levers for heater are seized. Trunk springs are shot, piece of 1/2 pvc is currently being utilized to prop up lid. Clutch is a dual friction centerforce that I installed approximately 2000 miles ago. I also replaced water pump and installed new BFG T/A radials 1200 miles age. Engine runs strong but rear main seal leaks. Rear end leaks but comes with a brand new one. Transmission is strong but once a month or so, if parked in first, you can have issue shifting it into reverse. Engaging clutch several times breaks it out of its trance easy enough. Car also comes with a new set of Boss 302 stripes. Rear spoiler has a subtle sag which is typical of the 69. Rear window slats have a few cracks. Chrome overall is good with minor flecking. Car has Koni adjustable shocks, has been lowered in the front 1" by previous owner. If have no idea how he accomplished this. Car also has 70 boss 302 style exhaust tips. Rev limiter is in place but is currently unhooked. Rear end is 3:50 traction lock. Interior is all original and in good shape, even the head liner. One of the pillar trim pieces has a corner broken off of it. If anything else comes to mind, I will add to the listing. Believe mileage to be accurate.
I realize that I am not helping my chances of selling this car by being so up front with the overall condition, but I am tired of being bent over by car sellers and I will not do the same. Car is fun and fast and I am ready for a new project. The only car that I would consider in trade or partial trade would be a numbers matching 4 speed 70 roadrunner. I would also consider a partial trade involving vintage Colts and Winchesters. Please feel free to e-mail me or call me with any questions and I will answers them to the best of my ability. Beckett 970-596-6286. Also, I will not accept less than 48K for this car. I have an honest appraisal of 65K that comes with the car.
