Description

1967 Ford Mustang Convertible- Daily Driver - Ready to GO *** VIN#7F03T227614 - Title In Hand and In My Name / Free and Clear. Car is Licensed and Insured and Driveable if you want to test drive it!
1967 Unrestored Convertible with Working Power Top, 289 4barrel, Automatic Transmission .... In Great Shape.
I have somewhat of a classic mustang addiction, however I also have a wife ... and I really want to keep both of these ladies, but I'm afraid the Mustang has to go (Still have 3 more, A Spitfire, and a 1968 Bronco ...so I'll be ok, don't cry for me).
Long Story Short. This is a 289 4 Barrel Automatic Car that I bought a couple years ago (technically to just flip/sell after that summer....but again....I have an addiction) it has a working Power Top, It Runs and Drives and actually rides really nice. Although I didn't plan to put any money/do any work on this car I did end up doing the following:
New Gas Tank - Last MonthComplete Rebuild of Carburetor - Last MonthNew Fuel Sending Unit, Gas Tank Connection Hose/Clamps (Essentially the Fuel Tank Kit)New Transmission Pan, and Gasket/Filter. (Leaks some tranny fluid but actually is just a union - that shouldn't be there - in the Trans Line I just wanted to make sure pan/gasket good)Other than that just a few odds and ends like a new top latch handle, etc.
The paint on the car (other than the hood, and the couple places where it has cracked) is incredibly decent considering it is a single stage paint and really thick. Although it's by no means a show paint job, whoever did it spent an awful lot of time getting it to lay nice andstraight and look pretty good considering the thickness/single stage etc.
The car body is really straight as you can see in the pics, and the uni-body,trunk, front/rear frame rails, front cage, shock towers, etc are just about as nice and solid as I have seenin an any old unrestored car like this and I have gone rounds with keep vs. sell and even then drive as is with a little touch-up/quick paint fix vs. full restore on this 67 convertible as it is just an excellent car and perfect solid starting point for a beautiful/normal man completed....restoration ...much like my full-on restore I did on my 66 GT350 Clone
It's just about as good as a restoration platform (ESPECIALLY for a DO-IT-YOURSELFER Like Me who can do everything EXCEPT metal work/welding)as you are going to find out there and is just a really great running, riding, driving car.
Soft top is completely shot and needs replaced, and the rear window is just a piece of clear plastic I duct taped in there to keep the car mostly dryand such. Seems pretty much all the guages work, and although the side windows/cranks work the rear windows currently just fall down in/need fixed, and carpet is sunfaded about as much as it could be (last guy drove it daily and always left top down ...)
Otherwise, that is about all I know about the car. If you have any questions, please CALL 740.401.0720 and give them your contact info, questions, and so on and I or my Best Friend(Also has a mustang addiction and is the Best Body/Paint man I know) will get back to you ASAP. I am out of the country this week so have limited email access.
If you want to come see the car/drive it/etc before bidding/buying feel free. It's licensed/insured and we tool around in it on nice days so it's ready to go.If you ask if I think you could drive it home ...100 miles....250 miles.....500 miles....1000 miles. I will tell you what anyone who has owned a 50 year old car will.
100 - Almost for sure....250 ....ah...probably? ....500 ...just as probably......1000 ..Maybe? I don't know.
My first "Driver" I bought in Chicago and drove home in January (black ice everywhere....wife 6 months pregnant and with me...12 degrees out) and it took me 14 hours to make an 8 hr drive, car stopped every two hours and so on.Did it make it ...yes ...would I do it again....nope...not with cheap shipping and a car hauler or u-haul option!!!
It's a great car...I really wanna keep ... but my wife says ...someone has to go ...and I'm not allowed to get rid of the kids! HA
Good luck and happy bidding.

Other than the EXTENSIVE pictures and the general condition/details above, that's all I really know about the car...
