1940 Ford Shortbed Truck

This is my 1940 Ford Shortbed Truck. I got it the same way you see it. It is a shortbed that has been somewhat hot rodded. It's got an IFS front clip from I don't know what (maybe mustang II). The IFS was done nice and straight. Truck looks like it was lowered in back. Has a very nice lowered stance. Has a Ford 9 inch rear end (see pics). Also has ladder bars in the rear (please see pics). Has a gas tank between the frame rails in the rear. 4 matching 15 inch aluminum rims. I don't have a grill. Has a good hood and front fenders and dash. This has been a Caliornia truck all its life so it's really very solid. The bottom of the doors are excellent with only surface rust. The bed is rust free with only surface rust. Cab "rockers" are solid with only surface rust. Roof and back panel are also solid with only surface rust. Frame is solid with only surface rust. Front cowl and windshield area are rust free with only surface rust. Even the floor (the floor has been cut about halfway and a new sheet metal panel with a tunnel. was put in its place. see pics) is solid. I looked it over thoroughly and the only place where I found actual corrosion was in the cab corners where the dirt accumulated. I don't have a title (I can get a title from a 41). What you see in the pics is what I got. What I found amazing on this truck is how good the doors line up. I don't know if the previous owner did some work on the alignment of the doors but they line up beautifully (check the pics of the doors). They open and close and fit great. The seat. radiator. and misc. parts are in the bed. This is an excellent start to a hot rod. Located in Newcastle. CA. Sold on a Bill of sale but title can be made available.
