Up for auction is this mostly original antique car. This is a 1964 Ford Galaxie west Kansas barn find. Frame. engine block and body numbers match. I believe I am the third owner of this classic ride. I have owned it for one year. In that time. I noticed chicks don't care if it has 4 doors. This car runs great and before you ask. yes - I would drive it anywhere. I have driven it to work over 130 miles roundtrip. The car has a 289 bored 40 over rebuilt engine. The crank was turned . 010 on rod and main journals. It had a cam & lifter valve job. too. I have put about 1000 miles on it since then. The car was found by the previous owner that did the rework in a west Kansas barn. The original owner parked it in a barn in 1977. That explains the unique original condition of the body and frame. There is just very little rust - see photos! So many other parts were replaced. such as - tires; brakes - cylinders. hoses and master cylinder; repacked bearings; starter; rear u-joints; reconditioned radiator; fuel pump; water pump and thermostat; clutch; muffler; sending units; belts and hoses; front and rear window gaskets; carpet and NOS Fairlane seat covers. That's a lot! That is why it looks and runs so good. The radio had power. but did not work. I replaced it with a Custom Autosound 300 watt am/fm with USB MP3 playback. I added Ford crest floor mats and a Ford crest driver side mirror. Also. I added the trunk liner. The trunk area is great - very little rust there. too. As mentioned above. the horn - clock - and dash lights do not work. The car body is original - there are some scratches left fender. enamel wear on top the right fender and a ding in the rear passenger door. A few other small blemishes or dings in chrome. The car does not have power steering or brakes. I tell people you have to stop like you mean it. It could use some shocks. but it rides great over train tracks. I get thumbs up everywhere I go in this classic. I just charged the battery after last winter and it fired right up. I drove it around for about twenty minutes to make sure all is well. I wanted to drive longer. but I felt myself wanting to keep the car; I need my garage back. The speedometer / odometer works. There are 66. 82 miles showing as of now. I believe that number to be original due to the history of the car. Turn signals. tail and head lights all work - even high beams. The blower works. There are no seat belts. but there are hooks on the floor to add them. The wipers work. This car has a "3-on-the-tree" manual 3 speed transmission. It has not been worked on. but it shifts great and pulls just fine. I usually drive this car at 55-65 mph when on the open road. I usually take the car cruising around town. It's just a fine classic - nearly original car that is fun to drive and very dependable. Serious bidders feel free to ask questions.
