The 289 engine runs good. automatic transmission shifts nice. honey gold paint paint nice. chrome gleams. glass is clear. Pony interior looks good for being the original from 1965. The miles are low on this car. past owner passed away and car was stored for a long time. The miles are undocumented. but I belieave the past owner. VIN 5F07C712219 MILES: 68426 reading today and past owner said it was correct. They are not documents. I just think he told me true. HAS THE CAR BEEN IN A ACCIDENT? I see no bends in the frame and no kinked sheet metal. All the panels look original to me. HOW DOES THE ENGINE RUN? I think it runs good. its a 289 cubic inch. I hear no rattles and no knocks. It has a 2 barrell carburater. we did put new points. plugs in and rebuild the carb. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a C4 automatic that I think shifts good with no slip. HOW IS THE STEERING? I think the car drives good for a early Mustang. it is power steering. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? They stop like the old drum brakes did. Not like modern cars. but they get the job done. HOW IS THE PAINT? I love the honey gold paint. it shines good and has metallic in it. No dents. no rust bubbles and the car is straight when you look sown the sides. I has some hard to see touched up places. I consider it real nice paint. HOW IS THE CHROME? Bumpers good. vent window chrome good. door handles have some pits. HOW IS THE GLASS? The windshield must have been replaced recently because it has no chips or wiper marks. the side windows roll up and down decent. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? We think its all original from 1965. Dash pad good with no cracks. headliner good. but dull. Carpet good other than lots of wear on the drivers area. seat covers good with one ugly repair on the bottom of the drivers seat and fading. Some guys like original things so we are leaving the original seat covers. If you want new ones it will cost about $500 total. if you want new carpet just add the cost of carpet. seats will be out se no labor. HOW IS THE TIRES AND HUBCAPS? Tires have lots of tread. they are 195/75/14. the hubcaps are in good condition. HOW IS THE EXHAUST? The Muffler looks new. the pipes are rusty color. but have no holes that I see. WIPERS WORK! GAS GAUGE WORKS! HEATER BLOWER WORKS? HORN WORKS! HEADLIGHTS WORK. TAIL LIGHTS WORK. BRAKE LIGHTS WORK. TURN SIGNALS WORK! All the panels look original to the car to me. the floors have no thick under coating so you see them. I see surface rust on the unteated metal under the car. but no holes and no problem with the frame members. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Here at my home/garage in Athens. Tennessee 37303. The interior is original and fine. but it is old. We think the miles are correct. but cannot document it or will not guarantee you they are. We were just told they were and we think so.
