This is a great car for the right buyer. It's not been raced or hot-rodded. it's been garaged and taken care of since brand new. Car was bought new by a gentleman who passed away and left it to his nephew. His nephew had it for the previous several years before I bought in 2014. He kept it under a cover in his garage so it never saw northern snow or salt or weather. It was taken out each spring and serviced driven locally and packed back away in the fall. He is family was growing and he needed the garage space so he sold it to me via AutoTrader. I drove it to AR the day I bought it. had it checked out by my mechanic. Midas. and a friend of mine thats a bit of a gear head. Everything on this car is seriously like brand new. I have most of the service records from the previous owner and all of the records since I bought. A plastic grommet broke on the OD linkage in the transmission which damaged the OD gear. I'm not a mechanic but asked around and seemed to have the choice of replacing the gear or having the whole transmission rebuilt. I had the whole transmission rebuilt as I didn't want any problems down the road. Other than rotors turned and oil changes. nothing else has needed done. The AC is cold and converted to modern day freon. cruise works. new speakers to replace the factory system. and new bezel glass over the instrument cluster as the factory one had begun to fade a bit. We have a 3 car garage. we have 4 cars. and I'm too OCD to leave a car outside all the time (my company car says outside and my Mustang rests comfortably inside). It's time to clear up a spot in the garage and get my Toyota out of the driveway! It's a great car and very fun to drive (had one like it in high school and couldn't resist buying this one when I found it). You will love this car. I will not love selling this car. but I am selling and it's yours if you can assure me you'll take care of it and keep it out there as an absolute benchmark for what a Fox body should look like as an antique.
