Up for sale is my 03 Excursion Limited 4x4 with 6. 0L power stroke diesel. I bought it about 2 years ago from previous owner who had it for 100k trouble free miles and spared no expense in making it my perfect people hauler and occasional tow vehicle. It is the last of the large diesel suv's that were made. I drove it for a few months taking it to Ford to put in fresh fluids and filters (incl 2 batteries) and EGR valve then did some research on upgrades available and finding a shop that had a stellar reputation. I took it to High Velocity Diesel Performance in WI where the engine was taken out and taken apart with the orders fix any and everything that is not up to par. update components to insure reliability and increase the power to a safe level that won't sacrifice durability since I would travel with my family in it. The HPOP. injectors and turbo were immediately replaced with new OEM Ford units. The heads were removed and checked by machine shop. new Ford OEM head. exhaust. intake. rocker carrier and other misc gaskets were installed and the stock head bolts were replaced by ARP head studs to insure there would be no future problems. Along the way anything in the engine compartment that showed age was replaced including radiator. AC condenser. fan clutch. ICP. IPR. glow plugs. degas bottle. auto locking hubs (all Ford OEM) along with many other smaller components (3 page parts list). On the performance side it had the Ford blue spring mod (increased fuel pressure). 6. 4L banjo bolts (more fuel flow). updated pushrods (shorter length). updated turbo lines. coolant filter. new intercooler boots. nbsp;EGR and cat delete and SCT Livewire TS loaded with 4 Innovative Diesel Performance. I also had work at Ford including new alternator. front hub including seals. power memory heated seat module. I just spent 2K on rear heat blend actuator. hub. seals. bearings. vacuum pump. block heater cord and front brakes. rotors and caliper pins (all Ford OEM). New starter was recently replaced by independent shop (Ford was booked) with new Ford starter (not rebuilt). The truck has synthetic oil. trans fluid. ELC coolant and I replace the Ford fuel filters every other oil/filter change. I run diesel additive in each tankful for injector/pump longevity. The truck had 10K in parts installed (9/2013) all OEM with 2 year warranty along with the performance parts from HVDP and at Ford there has been about 4K worth of repairs (warranty). I spared no expense and the power and efficiency of this trucks shows. I can get up to 23 mpg on highway in the summer empty and towing I can get 12 mpg (9k travel trailer) to 18 mpg (5k auto trailer) depending on the load. It starts effortlessly even in the coldest temps without being plugged in. On the street tune it pulls with authority feeling faster than my new 2015 F250 6. 7L work truck. I normally drive and tow on the street tune which has the best all around manners. On extreme street tune it is feels like a 8K pound sports car. I once did a timed 0-60 mph run in 5. 9 seconds! The truck is fully loaded with both power heated seats. AM/FM in dash CD changer. power extendable mirrors. tow/haul trans selector. power pedals. power rear vent windows. keyless entry keypad that locks/unlocks doors. lighted running boards and rear back up sensors. The truck has 4 captain's chairs and a bench. It has the Prodigy brake controller professionally installed because I use this to occasionally tow my travel trailer. This has been my daily driver and part time tow vehicle. The only reason I am selling is that I need to have 5th wheel hitch capability. Now the cons: The water pump is going bad and needs replacement soon. I would have had it done when it was in shop but I didn't have replacement Amsoil ELC coolant at the time. The front stabilizer end links were replaced before I bought the truck at Firestone (with new tires) but are making a knocking noise sometimes when going over bumps. The truck has a few dents on the exterior that were there when I bought it. The top side has an area where the paint is almost down to the metal but there is no rust. The driver's seat and arm rest has wear marks but the heated seats work perfect (great on cold days). There are 2 dents one on each side of the truck. There are 2 holes in the front bumper looks like there was something mounted there. The overhead DVD player (with remote) used to work but lately it won't play the kids DVD's but hadn't had a chance to look into it. I have 14K in receipts from High Velocity Diesel Performance and about 4K from Ford you can see I had planned on keeping it for a long time but I need a crew cab dually now so this has to go. I can answer any questions or picture request by emailing me or you can call/text me (Joe) at 77three-879-O681Bidders with less than 10 feedbacks contact me if you want to bid. Reserve and Buy It Now lowered so bid to win!On Mar-22-15 at 08:22:28 PDT. seller added the following information:CLARIFICATION: The water pump is operating correctly the engine temps are normal it is just slowly leaking coolant. I had to top off the coolant overflow (degas bottle) once a month. I have put approx. 18. 00 miles on this truck with no troubles. This is my daily driver I use to haul the family. run errands and go to 2 jobs with no issues (17 mpg summer avg). All power options work including the rear vent windows and the auto 4wd system works from the dash knob (came in handy this winter) no manual unlocking/locking of hubs. Factory rated to tow 11K. Can provide receipts of all new parts too many parts to list.
