Description

Selling my 32 coupe. The car belonged to a friend of mine who purchased it around 1958. it had a Pontiac engine with a Packard top loader trans. He didn't care for the Pontiac and removed it and tucked the car away in a warehouse until I purchased it last year. It was never my intention to sell but another car has come up and I can't afford to keep both. Body: You would be hard pressed to find a better body on any 32. remember this car was only 26 years old when it was taken off the road. It's full fendered as you can see. not pictured is the radiator valance but I have it and it's nice. It has a couple small dents in the right front fender. rest of the car seems excellent. ZERO rust anywhere. The car is primered but it looks like a light coat and you can clearly see emerald green underneath. the chassis was also painted a lighter shade of green. I believe it may have been shown in Portland during the 50's but can't be sure. My plan was to carefully wet sand the primer to see how much of the green could be brought back. will look very cool either wayGrille: Unfilled and near perfect. insert is excellent. Headlights: BLC's sitting on a chrome dropped bar. Bumpers: Original 32's front and back. decent chrome. a little bruised but perfect for the car. Transmission: It still has the 37 Packard 3 speed. a popular and very sturdy unit popular in the early days of hot rodding. It does have one broken ear but should be an easy fix. K member was modified as was the banjo rear to accept the trans. The input shaft is already GM and the clutch plate fits perfectly. length is correct. Engine: I decided to build the car with nothing newer than 58. I was only able to find a Speed Gems adapter for a SBC so I picked up a 58 passenger car engine. an early Fenton three deuce intake. I have six nice carbs included with three rebuild kits and a Fenton fuel block. the engine was supposedly a good runner. it turns easily. I have a new set of weld in high quality motor mounts for it. 58 dated bell housing but no flywheel. Interior: It still sports the 50's interior in very nice shape. cream vinyl with black inserts with gold thread woven in. Silver piping throughout. seat should be restuffed but would work fine as is. Still has wooden floors. Dash: stock dash but included is a 50's custom insert with period Stewart Warner gauges. speedo is newer. Floors: Floor panels are all original. there is a small patch in the trunk. looks like it was cut to access the tank top. Wheels: Wheels are 15" Suspension: Unsplit bones front and back. some brackets for tube shocks are welded in but I was going to change them. The front wishbone has been welded to the dropped axle. not sure why but looks easy to grind off. Juice brakes all around. original bolt pattern. I'm sure I've forgotten some things. please don't hesitate to ask. include your phone number if you want to ask anything directly. Not interested in any trades. clear title last renewed in 1965. On Mar-23-15 at 20:13:41 PDT. seller added the following information:I had a friend come over today and we looked the car over. the front axle is an original 32 heavy. rear end is a late 32 or possibly 33. The green paint under the primer looks like a Buick green metalic. possibly late 40's. Looking at the car overall it appears to be an early build. particularly with the Packard trans. still trying to find any history but due to the length of storage might be hard. Any input would be appreciated. thanks. NeilOn Mar-24-15 at 08:38:09 PDT. seller added the following information:I have more pics if anyone needs any. can't add any more. I had a question re: the engine and whether it had to be included. I will keep the engine intake carbs adapter etc and offer an $750 discount off the final price
