2002 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Utility 4-Door 4.0L

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING. Everything you need to know is in the listing. I'm selling this because I purchased a new vehicle and have no use for this anymore. I couldn't trade it in because of the mileage but this is a STEAL at the price I'm asking. I have the title ready to go. You will not find a cleaner. nicer vehicle for the money. It is loaded and has been extremely well taken care of. If you've got this far. keep going because it only gets better! I'm the second owner of the vehicle -- the first owner was the dealership that used it as a demo model (fully loaded except no heated seats). I purchased this vehicle in 2003. It's has been meticulously maintained and brought to a reputable dealer/mechanic for much of the maintenance work for as long as I've owned it. I have the majority of service records. It's never been in an accident and has a clean title. I share the following in interest of full disclosure. We are honest people and have nothing to hide. In fact. the Car Fax Report can be provided at no cost to any interested parties: I had a custom built Jasper transmission built to OEM specifications installed in it in 2011 when it had 170. 00 miles on it. Now that it has over 260. 00 miles on it. it still runs better than the OEM transmission! The mileage on it is 90% highway miles because I travel quite a bit. I loved this vehicle while I've owned it. It needs tires. the e-brake needs to be replaced and the valve cover gaskets (both sides) need to be replaced. and it leaks antifreeze (not sure if it's a hose or something to do with the valve cover) and it does have some rust spots. The interior is in good condition and has all the original equipment. I have the title in hand. If you look up the value on NADA. it's between $3600-4200 if in EXCELLENT condition but that's with an OEM transmission. The Jasper transmission cost me over $3000. I've just had the vehicle fully serviced as well. including oil change. tune up. grease. fluids topped. etc. The Interstate battery is only 2 years old and is 770CCA. The 4x4 is electronic shift on the fly and it's served me well for the past 11 years. Below are all the features of the vehicle. I've tried to take as many pictures as I can but it's best to see it in person. For the money. you're getting a vehicle that has been well maintained and still has many years left in it. This is a "AS IS/PARTS ONLY" sale. If you already own a 2002-2005 Explorer/Mountaineer. the parts in this vehicle are completely compatible. The interior seating (leather) alone sells for over $1000 on Ford Parts website. Or you can fix it up and put it back on the road - again. the title is clean. I've had estimates done for the valve cover gaskets and e-brake (parking) replacement. The valve cover gaskets are a great DIY project for someone who knows vehicles and the parts are only $40 for the set which includes the rubber gaskets (which may be where the antifreeze is leaking from). Labor is estimated around 3-6 hours depending on your knowledge and skill level. The e-brake (parking) parts are about $300 and the labor is around 2-4 hours. If you bring it to the dealer for the repairs you're looking at about $700-800 which is why I'm selling it for such a great price! Everything else on the vehicle is in very good condition.
