1975 F-150 2wd custom cab in unrestored. original condition with an unknown mechanical history. Original 300 ci 6 cylinder engine. c-6 Automatic transmission and 3. 70 rear gearing . Equipped with factory power steering and factory power disc brakes. Runs. drives and stops good. I was told miles were oringinal at 51xxx but i have no proof to support that claim. This truck is a daily driver and 3rd vehicle for our family for the past 8 months. Mechanicals: Engine starts easy. runs smoothly. drives nice. shifts nice. accelerates smoothly. does not overheat and has good oil pressure. It has been retrofitted with a freshly rebuilt carter yf series manual choke carb. New NAPA water pump. new spark plugs and fresh fluids. The exhaust was also completely professionally rebuilt stem to stern as to duplicate factory exhaust. This model does not with a catalytic converter. It also has new brakes. front rotors and new master cylinder. The only issues it has that I am aware of are a few minor oil leaks and power steering pump makes a very subtle whirring noise. Also when the transmission is put into reverse it has a slightly rough engagement. Its not an awful slam but a slight bump and it only occurs in reverse. The truck drives well on the highway but in my opinion the front end is not as tight as it could be as it wanders slightly. Despite the symptoms listed above my mechanic advised me that because the truck is used as a spare vehicle those issues were not threatening and should be dealt with if they become more problematic. Body: Original Paint looks good for being a 40 year old work truck. That being said it does have many minor scratches. dings. dents. spots of touch up paint applied in the past and some very light surface rust. Most noticeable body issues are a small dent in the cab behind the driver and small rust developing around the back window area. There is no rust couldn't be removed with sandpaper. Please examined the pictures closely. The hood was removed by the previous owner to perform a repair and it was not adjusted properly when reinstalled. It is not bent or damaged it will just need to be adjusted to fit better. The bed has a few small holes (1/2") from previously mounted accessories. Factory 15" wheels with like new all terrain truck tires. Interior: Clean and Original except for the seat upholstery which was replaced due to a split seam. Dash pad is in great shape with no cracks. Original factory rubber floor mat is in great shape with little wear. Dash is very clean. All of the instruments are in working condition as are lights. nbsp;horn. wipers. Windshield has a rock chip that has been repaired. It has a nicely installed CD player with usb ports. Speakers are in custom made speaker boxes behind the seat (no holes cut). It does have factory dual fuel tanks although I have only used the forward tank. The factory cigarette lighter and receptacle has been removed to allow for a more convenient. factory-looking mounting location for the manual choke control knob. Same original key works for both the doors and ignition switch. Title: Clean Oregon title and currently registered in my name. License plates will not come with the truck. I do have the original window sticker. sales receipt and owners manual that will go with the truck. This is a nice. original truck with a desirable and uncommon powertrain combination that is still serviceable 40 years after it was made. This is not a restored truck but one that has been cared for and used sparingly for the last 40 years. It gets driven about 3-4 times a week for a 30 mile round trip into town. It is reliable enough that I let my wife drive it into to town with our youngest son on occasion. I would consider it to be a reliable vehicle for that. It does not currently have any obvious problems or show any obvious symptoms of an impending problem that would prevent it from being driven home. Could you fly in and drive it home 3000 miles? Sure. if you prefer the adventure and stresses involved with driving a 40 year old unfamiliar. unrestored truck with an unknown mechanical history on the modern interstate. That being said this truck is being sold as-is. where-is with no warranty or guarantee written. expressed or implied. Buyer's responsibility to perform all necessary due diligence prior to bidding. Payment and Pickup: NO PAYPAL. I don't care what eBay says. NO PAYPAL. I will only accept full cash in hand at pick-up or a full cashier's check mailed in advance to allow time for payment to clear before vehicle is released. The truck will not be released until payment clears. I have plenty of safe. covered storage here and can store the truck at my property for up to a month free of charge if that will help you. If you choose to have the truck transported I will work with your chosen carrier to make the process as easy as possible. If you would like some pictures of something specific or have a specific questions about the truck please feel free to contact me through eBay.
