It has very presentable red paint on a body that I consider good and the black interior is very decent. The short wheel base truck is powered by a 429 cubic inch Ford engine. connected with a C6 automatic transmission and a 9 inch rear-end. The front end has a clip installed with rack and pinion steering. The front brakes are disc and the steering is power. The wheels are new chrome with baby moons and the tires are new BF Goodrich. This is a good looking truck. but its no perfect roll out of the trailer show queen. "its a good looking driver". VIN: F10V5N12097MILES: 97474 reading and who really knows. HISTORY: I can not tell you much. my car restoring friend near Cincinnati bought it for me. HAS THE TRUCK EVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT? I see no bends in the frame and I see no kinks in the sheet metal. HAS THE TRUCK GOT ANY BONDO/BODY FILER? I see no rust bubbles and no big cracks. but I have never seen a old car without some. HOW IS THE PAINT? I consider it very nice driver quality. The shine is good. no dings. no dents other than a small on on the bottom of the tail. After the pictures I did straighen the dent and its hard to see. Several touched up chips. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? The seat cover is good other than a super tiny bad place down low on the drivers out side edge. the carpet decent. the dash has a hole in the top center where a tach was install in the past. HOW IS THE WOOD IN THE BED? Its good. its not warpped or split. the grain is a litte dark from age. HOW ARE THE WHEELS AND TIRES? New Old School chrome 15 inch chrome rims with baby moons. the tires are new BF Goodrich with the white letter turned in. HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its suppose to be a 429 cubic inch and it look like one to me. It has a little cam. MSD ignition and dual line Holley carb. No knows or rattles that I hear. I see a little blue smoke on crank up. I think its a real good engine. The idle is rough because of a big cam. it smooth out good above idle. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a good shifting C6 automatic. The shifter is a short B&M. I don't like it. I would put a tall Lokar in. WHAT IS THE REAR-END? Its a 9 inch Ford with a good gearing. The drive shaft is a little short. no big problem. but if I keep the truck for ever I would invest a little into having it made longer. HOW DOES THE TRUCK DRIVE? I think it drives decent. It has a Dodge Valarie front clip with a Dodge rack and pinion. Since the pictures I have put a rebuilt rack and pinion in. the old one had a little leak. We also put new upper control arm bushing in. we aligned the front end. but I would keep a close watch. My alignment machine is just a cheap protable one. its usually OK. but it not as accurate as the costly ones. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? I think they are decent. the fronts are disc. the rears drums. they are not power. The brake pedal feels like the original height. I would like it lower if I keep the truck. HOW DOES THE HOOD FIT AND CLOSE? Hood fit was a problem on these old trucks. I think this on fits very good! When closing you have to go to the back corner and push down then it closes fine. HOW ARE THE WHEELS AND TIRES? New Old School 15 inch chrome rims with baby moons. The tires are new BF Goodrich with the white letters turned in. DO THE GAUGES WORK? The gauges are in a pod under the dash. I think the wood housing is junky looking and would replace them if I keep the truch. Speedometer is working. but fast. the gas gauge is not working. WIPERS WORK! HEADLIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK! BRAKE! LIGHTS WORK! HORN IS NOT WORKING! WHAT IS THE EXHAUST SYSTEM? Its not real loud and in good used condition. HOW IS THE CHROME? The front bumper is real nice. mirrows good. door handles pitted. grill pitted. HOW IS THE GLASS? The winshield has a crack on the passengers side on the bottom side. side windows good. back window good. drivers vent window has bubbles on the back edge. WHERE IS THE TRUCK LOCATED? Here in Athens. Tennessee 37303. CONTACT INFORMATION: Ron Watson cell 423-506-8987 please no Sunday calls. direct email: dreamcar@live. com BOTTOM LINE: This is a good looking truck. its not perfect. its a driver.
