This 1950 GMC replicates one of the fleet of vehicles our father owned after the Second World War. It was restored about five years ago by my brother to the highest standards. Every part including the engine. transmissions and differential was completely gone through. The cab is flawless as is the paint and detail. I know my brother spent over $3000 to have the grill chrome plated. This truck has the correct 258 cubic inch. six cylinder motor backed with a four speed transmission and and aux transmission that gives under. direct and over drive. In addition it has a fully functioning two speed rear end for a total of twenty four speeds forward and it requires the driver to 'split-shift' the transmissions for full potential in moving the cab and trailer. The cab has an air brake unit that connects to the trailer and the trailer is air over hydraulic. The low boy trailer is decked with 'clear' Douglas fir. All accessories are period correct including the mirrors. brake lamps. and interior controls. All gauges have been refaced and rebuilt and the interior of the cab is exactly as what was provided in 1950 by GMC. My brother spared no expense in the restoration and there is no other truck like this that can match the perfection and period correct detail of this unit. This offering is for the cab and trailer only. I can offer the 1950 pick up also for additional funds. The only reason for selling this unit is that my brother has had a heart attack and waited four days before going to the hospital. As one can imagine. he has shifted his last truck as considerable heart damage has occurred. This truck is located in 15330 outside Pittsburgh. Penna. and I can fly up there to demonstrate the truck. Please believe that this is not a 'fire sale' but it is priced fairly and firmly at $35. 00. Please contact me. his brother. at (904) 230-4448 if you have questions or need additional photos. Thank you for viewing his truck and God Bless. Wellington Morton. Jacksonville. Florida.
