1996 GMC Truck Yukon 5.7L V8, 4x4, MECHANIC SPECIAL

I'm selling my 1996 GMC Yukon which is overall in good condition. The engine runs great. but it needs the transmission replaced. It does move under its own power. but only in some gears and it makes a bad noise. The transmission failed catastrophically when the rear differential locked up. We replaced the rear differential with a used one. but found out after doing all that work that the transmission was damaged. and I can not afford to repair it. Whether you will use it as a family vehicle or a work truck. if you replace the transmission it'll serve you well. The 4L60E transmission is very common and you can easily find out at a junkyard or get a rebuilt or remanufactured one pretty much anywhere. Powerful Vortec 350 5. 7L V8 engine. LOW MILES. Automatic transmission. Push button 4x4. Tow hitch. Power locks. power windows. power seats. Drivers side air bag. Heat/defrost/blower fan work fine - AC has a slow leak somewhere and needs to add refrigerant to work but then it will work fine. Perfect as a big work truck or safe. spacious family SUV. Doesn't have third row seats. so it will comfortable seat 5 people. but plenty of cargo space in the back even with 5 people. Stock head unit fitted with auxiliary input adapter (play music from your ipod. smartphone. etc). Starts and runs great. No mechanical problems EXCEPT FOR TRANSMISSION. I have done lots of work and installed many new parts the last few months since buying it from a used car dealership. -Four brand new tires all around-Coolant flush and refill-New spark plugs-New battery terminal-New coil wire-New distributor cap+rotor-New starter-Oil+filter changed 4/7/15-Replaced rear differentialClean CA title and current registration in my name in hand. It passed smog when I bought it. and I don't see why it wouldn't pass again. but the truck is AS IS and smog is up to the buyer. I can't exactly get it to the smog shop. While you must trailer the vehicle away (you can not replace the transmission in my parking lot. and the vehicle only drives somewhat in 1st and 2nd gear so can't go fast) if you are not local. it's OK if it sits here for a week or so while you have a chance to come pick it up.
