Up for sale is my 1996 GMC Jimmy. We purchased this truck brand new in '96 and has been in our family since day one. She currently has just over 217k on the clock and has been serving our needs as an occasional weekend work truck for the past 8 years. Since 2010, he following items on the truck have been replaced:
Gas tank, uel lines and fuel pump
Brake lines, ront calipers, ads and rotors
Radiator, oses and thermostat
Low mileage used tires last year
Plugs and wires
Exhaust
New Starter
Transmission was rebuilt around 160k
Recent oil change
Issues:
Passenger rear seat belt missing
High mount center brake light not working
Drivers side power adjusting mirror doesn't work (just use your hand), assenger side works fine
AC does not work. Used condenser from a junk yard and a charge and itll be good to go.
Rear axle just needs to be topped off with fluid once a year or so
4HI works just fine, LO does not. We've never used 4LO so most likely is a rotted vacuum line or bad electrical connection at the transfer case.
Drivers seat leather is torn and needs a cover or replaced.
Only real body rust is on Driver side rear wheel well, nd its actually the outter fender, ot the inner fender. A small section has rusted away and theres some rust along the bottom of the doors, ut its pretty clean considering the mileage. Was barred and waxed twice a year up until about 2 years ago where it has mostly sat in the garage with the occasional spin around the block.
As I said, his truck has been in our family since day one and she genuinely runs like a top. She fires right up, o matter how long she's been sitting. Doesn't smoke, oesn't leak a drop of fluid, rakes are nice and tight, o squeeks or rattles from chassis or suspension, ll windows and door locks work just fine. The drivetrain has been virtually problem free and could go another 10 years with normal maintenance. This was one of the good ones from the factory, ust always runs and never really gives us problems. Only reason we are selling it is because my sister and in law unexpectedly gave us their old F150 as a wedding present and have had an honest need for a pickup for the last few years anyways as the Jimmy was just too small for the projects I needed to get done. The Jimmy has not seen more than 4k in the last 5 years, ost of the those came in about a 3 month span when she was my daily driver while I went from my college car to my new car. When she's not being used, he has always been stored in a heated garage. We don't want to give her up but its time to part ways.Email me for any more info.
