1964 GMC"THE GOAT "
This 1964 GMC was brought back to life after sitting in a field for over 20 years. She was said that she ran before she was parked and immediately started right up when we took her home.
We started by adding cpp power disc bakes with a drop spindle. Along with "z"ing the frame in the front to get the truck to lay-frame on the ground. The rear has a 2 link set up with welded in C notches. The truck rides awesome and drives great!
The picture of the rear frame section shows the old valves that were in it. They now been swapped to the Accuair E Level System. The power plant is the original V6 which has been cleaned and repainted. It is not rebuilt, ut runs great with her original 4 speed manual transmission. She is a nice driving truck!
The interior is all new. The seat was redone, ew carpet, ustom built gauge bezel shining with New Vintage gauges, nd a custom built controller mount for your Acuair control.
The outside body has its fair share of bumps and bruises which makes it a fun truck to drive, specially not having to worry about that fancy new paint job. The truck was originally owned by a mason and used for for work. There is nothing hiding behind bondo or paint. This is the original paint which I personally buffed out myself. IT IS NOT CLEAR COATED! However, lenty of people will debate with you that it is, hen you take her to car shows. There is rust mostly drivers side rocker. I have already replaced the passenger side rocker and cab supports, ust never got around to the other side that wasn't in as bad of shape.
The wood in the bed is oak and is accessorized with stainless steel bed strips. The original rear tubs have been sectioned and widened, hen re aged to look untouched. Front tubs are hand made and built to look as if they came factory.
The truck was featured in the August 2015 issue of Street Trucks Magazine with a 6 page feature.
