Very Solid. Small Rust Hole In Drivers Side Floorboard (pictured). 78. 00 Miles. Unknown How Many On Reman Engine. Solid Doors. Hood. & Fenders. No bells and whistles. manual windows and locks. no A/C. just a solid work truck. The engine has a slight knock upon cold starting for a couple seconds until oil pressure builds. Last winter the engine spun a rod bearing. We dropped the pan and the rod journal was . 003" under the spec. We polished the crank and replaced the rod and main bearings and installed a high volume oil pump. We did not want to replace the crankshaft as we only used this truck to haul fuel on our farm. less than 1000 miles a year. The engine sounds good and we have ran it this past year with no issues. Oil pressure runs 50-60 psi. It may last for a long time or it may not. A check engine light does come on after several miles. which it has done for years. that does not effect performance. I believe the CEL is probably due to lower exhaust temp at the O2 sensor due to the headers. which is common for TBI engines but I have not checked it out. We have replaced the truck with something more fitting to our needs. It drives nice but it's no speedster with the 4. 10 gears. The mirrors have some issues as pictured.
