1959 GMC Fleetside Big Window

Up for sale is this solid West Coast GMC custom cab, big window 100 series pickup. I bought this truck and hauled it back from Southern California.

The story goes that the owner gave it to his 17 year old son who wanted to "fix it up". The truck body was not perfect having its share of minor dents. The young man, not having proper skills chose to use bondo to fill the dents. Then covered it with a less than great paint job (with pealing clear coat).

The good news is that behind those dents is solid sheet metal. The boys work is easily undone and fixed properly. There are only 2 bad spots of corrosion, the bed header panel and 1 spot on the passenger floor. Bed panels are available through multiple sources. The passenger floor has a correct replacement floor panel tac welded over top of the factory floor. There is a picture from underneath showing the lemon sized hole.

The rest of this truck is excellent. The drivers floor, door steps, doors, tailgate, bed sides, gas tank, hood, cab corners and inner fenders are all great. Original interior paint.

The grille, although dented on the passenger side, is fixable and will clean up to look great.

Note that only one piece of cab trim is missing, underneath the rear window. The upper is there with painters tape over it.

Fix her up, or drive her like she is.
