Here's my pickup that I bought as a primered rolling shell from Texas in 1987. It took me 10 years to get it in paint and running down the road. It has a 1974 Chevy truck 350 engine with a Crane Cam, Mellings oil pump, Edelbrock intake and a Q-jet carb. It is a bit on the loud side since it has headers, 2.5" pipes about 5' long and 2.5" Flowmaster mufflers. The transmission is a Turbo 350 from a 1977 Chevy pickup followed by a Dana 44 Posi rearend. I pulled the rear axels and sent them to Mosier in Indiana to have them plugged and redrilled to match the front 5 lug pattern since 67 GMC's had 6 lugs originally.I removed the original fuel tank from behind the seat and installed a 16 gallon plastic fuel cell under the bed. It has front disc brakes from mid 70's Chevy pickup. The rear drum brake shoes and wheel cylinders were just replaced. The hood has been louvered and I installed a roll pan in the rear with tail lights frenched in. The grille is an original 67 with the letters. It hasa chrome cowl between the hood and windshield, glove box door, ash tray, e-brake lever and bed steps. The tilt column is from a 77 Olds Cutlass. The recoveredseat is from a 77 Chevy pickup. The Cooper tires are all good. Fronts are 215/70/15 and the rears are 275/60/15 on Chevy truck rally wheels. The single stage paint is almost 20 years old and it has some flaws. The door panels need recovered as they show wear.If you have any questions or wish to see any other pics, please don't hesitate to ask. I am only online randomly on the weekend and in the evenings Monday thru Friday.
