Description

This car is a rarity! A one-owner. so well-maintained that the clutch has never even had to be replaced. Driven gently and taken care of. with the exception of the house paint spillage inside the trunk. Obviously there is normal wear and tear - a few stains and scuffs on various parts of the interior - but overall a really solid and nice looking vehicle. I would absolutely trust it as a teen's first car. one for someone to learn driving a stick. or even just to have as a second car to throw bikes/other gear on top of and go riding/camping/whatever. When I put over $2k into it last year for miscellaneous repairs. the intention was to drive it for another hundred thousand miles. but I happened upon a steal of a Subaru so had to jump on it. I love this car and would keep it if I could afford to have two vehicles!HISTORY:This car has never been in a wreck. though it has been tapped in a few parking lots. one instance which resulted in the rear bumper being replaced. The windshield was also replaced within the first few years of purchase due to getting hit with a rock from the highway. The timing belt was replaced most recently at 199k. the clutch has never been replaced and still seems to work fine. Both driver and passenger airbags were replaced this past winter in light of the industry recall. RECENT IMPROVEMENTS MADE:About $2000 was put into this car in the past year or so. including:- brand new catalytic converter- new brake pads- new rear tires- two major oil leaks repaired- airbags replacedROOF RACK:The roof rack was purchased in 2012. and with all its parts cost about $750. It has the capacity to hold lots of gear. even if you aren't a cyclist! If you take the two bike mounts off. the rack remains and you are able to equip it with other sorts of mounts (kayak. skis. luggage. etc. ) - the cross bars were purchased extra long with the hope of adding a third additional mount on the outside edge. If you aren't a cyclist I would be happy to remove the bike mounts and knock off $100. but the roof rack itself should stay with the car. It's fit especially for it and could be resold for around $400. MISC. NOTES:A few slight quirks: in very cold weather the automatic door locks operate slowly. so does the clutch sometimes (though my mechanic looked at it and found nothing wrong with it). Tape deck is hit or miss. but radio and CD player both work fine. LOGISTICS OF PURCHASE:Local pickup only. $500 deposit via Paypal required. then the balance can be paid the same or with money order. cashier's check. or cash at pickup. Buyer responsible for retrieving vehicle in-person. Transfer of vehicle will occur during daylight hours only and at a particular police station in Atlanta* with on-duty officers nearby. Aforementioned details are absolutely non-negotiable. *FYI. an additional 40 miles will be added to the odometer in order to meet at this location.
