Description

This car is a dedicated natural gas powered Civic. '12 model year bought new late 2013. I use this car as a courier delivery vehicle so it is, n fact, pproaching 230k miles (mileage will be increasing at 1800 or so per week until sold as it's still in service).
I have given this car basic maintenance and nothing has or is about to go wrong as far as I can tell. Engine purrs, spd automatic (NOT CVT!) shifts perfectly and I can get over 50mpg on long hwy trips unladen. I will not mention my best interstate round trip whilst hypermilling because you wouldn't believe me.
For those of you still trying to wrap your head around what 230,000 miles on a car driven a little over two years means I would like to point to the original brake pads that were checked when I had my timing performed at 222k. My mechanic warned me that they were down to 30%! I laughed and said that I should definitely have them changed at 300 then just to be safe.
CNG oil changes less frequent than gasoline. I change my oil every 25k (full synth) and have had it analyzed three times by Black Stone Labs and found to be within safe levels (have copies of reports). I put oil in up to the top of the fill line on the dip stick. 25k later, he oil will have dropped to the add mark.
Trans fluid done every 100k. Next due 300k.
100k tires have 75% tread remaining. 303k?
Fuel filters good... next change due 250k. You have two fuel filters with this car. The small filter is changed every 30k and the front one every 60k (I do the rear mechanic does front and charged $15 labor). I have one of each filters that I'll include.
K&N air filter just cleaned.
Fuel injectors cleaned at 177k mechanic said they didn't actually need cleaning.
Just replaced original shocks and struts. Car rides like new.
Normal small chips in bumper paint. Few minor scratches here and there visible at 10 feet. Hood cover is vinyl and is easy to remove if you wish. No rust of course. Garage kept. All seats always covered. Some scuff marks on insides of rear doors where boxes have brushed. Over all good shape though.
Clean title, /16 inspection.
My route is about 350-375 miles and the range I can get is just over 300 miles (8gge mind you) -- so having to detour 15-25 minutes to fuel every night makes it not worth keeping this car. Of course in two years when gas is back to $3.00 and CNG has risen steadily with inflation to $2.10 like it has been doing for many years, will be cursing this decision!!
Their are perhaps 8 or 10 stations in and around Pittsburgh;

I bought this car new September 2013 clearanced for over $22,000 (invoice was $24,943)... my experience with Honda's tell me this will be a trouble free car for a very long time since it has already made it this far with only standard maintenance. Any questions feel free to ask.
