Description

What you are looking at is a 1999 Honda Civic in excellent condition! The vehicle was purchased approximately 3 years ago with 40,xxx miles on it from a senior citizen who used it for shopping and similar activities. After it was determined that it was no longer a good idea for her to drive the car was sold so there has only been two owners and ALWAYS adult driven and well cared for.
The engine and transmission are rock solid with almost 112,000 miles on it. The oil was ALWAYS changed at around every 4,000 miles with synthetic Royal Purple or Mobil 1 (occasionally it gets whatever synthetic the Jiffy Lubethe dealer uses or Valvoline if it gets a quick change at another lube shop). The transmission fluid has also been changed every 30-40,000 miles. The spark plugs are changed every 20,000 miles. Also the tires were balanced and rotated regularly with a wheel alignment (a lifetime wheel alignment was purchased at Firestone) You can save hundreds by doing your own tune ups on this vehicle which is extremely easy! This car will run until 350,000 miles or more with regular tune ups and oil changes. It's also incredible on gas mileage (about 32-34mpg)
The car was purchased as a trip car. The high mileage in the last three years (approx 61,000 miles in 3 1/2 years) was from driving back and forth to Florida, hio, owa, ississippi, nd a few other states from Virginia. If you're looking for a first car, reliable car, daily driver. or something that will go another 200,000-230,000 miles and won't cost a fortune, his is the car for you.
Spark plugs are new, ires are brand new Michelin Defenders (may have a few hundred miles depending on when it's purchased but it won't be much) with a lifetime balancing from where they were purchased at Pep Boys. The interior is clean! Never had any smokers or pets in it. The driver seat looks a bit dark in the picture but it's not a stain, t looks like that in the picture but not in person, t is well maintained on the inside.
I've installed custom brackets for the GPS and Sirius/XM radio. The radio and GPS in the picture dont come with the car, ut the custom mounted brackets do so you can keep the clean look. Again, his car was well kept!
The car has a top of the line alarm system with an automatic start for those cold days (or hot days). You can start the car and get the temperature right inside the passenger compartment before you get inside. That alone is worth $500 plus if you get a python alarm installed with the auto start like this car has.
The car is for sale locally so I have the right to end the auction early. This car is a steal at this price. Review the list of the most recent work:1) timing chain and water pump (approx 100,000 miles)2) Tune up wires, ap and rotor (approx 80,000 miles)3) New Michelin Defenders (check the ratings on these tires) BRAND NEW as of right now.4) Transmission fluid change (approximately 100,000)5) brakes (around 95,000)
The GPS is included but the Sirius radio is not. If you have a Sirius Radio its an easy pop in on this custom bracket I purchased. It's a nice cockpit set up, verything is at your fingertips. This car is excellent for long trips. You don't have to worry about anything, his car has been meticulously maintained!! It has 500 more miles before the next oil change is due. If it hits the due mark it will be changed so no worries. You can do all the tune ups yourself and save hundreds!!! It takes about 5 minutes to change the spark plugs even if you have no clue what to do, ust youtube it, oo easy. Same with the wires cap and rotor (which is good for at least 70,000 more miles).
The body is very good. The doors close fine, here are no rattles when you hit bumps etc. It does show regular wear and tear. I can only imagine it rides close to the same way it did when it was new. This car will not disappoint!! At a starting bid of 3,200.00 you cannot go wrong! This car will last easily 10 more years even if you run it hard! Don't let it pass you buy if you're looking for something economical. When the gas prices jump back to $3.50 plus you'll want to be ready. It does not have power windows in case thats something you must have. Like I said, he body has normal wear and tear. Some minor scratches that do not take away from the paint which still looks great and a small dent in the rear under the passenger side headlamp from a minor fender bender. It's hardly noticeable. When you clean the car the paint shines and it looks great, othing close to a hoopoe! This is a very good looking car that will not be a blight in the driveway. You'll love this car and it will be one of the best investments you have made.
Please, his price is not only fair but firm. You're getting a great deal! You don't have to change the timing chain for another 80-90,000 miles, ires for 60,000 miles plus (check the ratings on these tires, hey are one of the top rated and last almost always very close to their 90,000 warranty), ranny fluid for 30,000 miles, rakes for probably another 30,000 (mostly highway miles which doesn't wear the brakes as hard) etc. The timing chain, rakes and tires alone could cost you anywhere from 1,100.00-1,600.00 if you got a car where this wasn't recently done. You can't put a price on piece of mind. Check what other cars with many more miles than this are going for on Craigslist, nd Ebay. This is a steal so like I said, lease don't bother with crazy lowball prices like "I'll take it for 1,500 cash right now." I will not respond. I know what this car is worth and its much more than the starting price but I now have three cars and one has to go. Unfortunately this is the one that drew the short straw. There is a clean title and NOTHING is wrong with it, OTHING is wrong with it so please, lease, lease, on't message me with questions like is there anything wrong with the car. It has been looked at and it runs STRONG!!!! Its clean inside and out and will last FOREVER (forever equalling 350,000 miles or a bit more).
If you're the winning bidder, he car can be picked up in the Washington DC Metro Area. If you are anywhere off of I95 between DC and NY, here may be an opportunity where it can be delivered (this is on a case by case basis and a small fee would apply). It would have to be close to I95, ot like an hour away, nd on a case by case basis, t may depend on the date, ime, ocation etc. Email me before the auction ends and you'll get a solid answer. I made this long and detailed to prevent loads of messages with loads of questions. I don't want anyone waiting for an answer so I tried to answer everything upfront which benefits both sides. I have 100% feedback, heres a reason for that. If you're a reasonable person you understand what you're bidding on and know you're getting a deal.
Thanks for looking.
