Description

1966 Lincoln Continental convertible bagged beach cruiser

It was my intention to restore this car for myself but another car of greater importance to me has come about so funding my dream car.

Car actually looks to have original paint or maybe 1 repaint in its life time. Vehicle starts up and shifts well, t is also currently registered and on the road. Vehicle has airbag system display screen mounted in the ashtray out of sight. The hand held unit has 4 way adjustments up and down on each bag. 3 Yes 3 tanks mounted in the rear trunk with 4 yes 4 pumps probably over kill but looks and works very well. Easily spent 8k alone on bags and installing new exhaust in order to install bags a few years back. Car also has a very loud train horn, ank and horn controls mounted next to driver’s leg on kick panel. Interior in pretty good shape leather seats look good new bottom front with newer carpet, oor panels decent and a new top. Car is not perfect by no means but a nice driver newer belts alternator and battery changed out. Some reason the battery is not charging with the new alternator I think I have the wires wrong. There is an exhaust manifold leak on the passenger side not to bad but you can hear it.

Body is pretty solid a few spots bubbling here and their but the inner fender wells look pretty good. Frame is solid the driver’s side and passenger side floor board need to be replaced just where your feet would go solid! From lip back. Currently there is a piece of thick stainless steel on each side. The rest of the floor boards our very solid… Top has individual controls for each step of the top going up and down. Original rims and caps in decent shape with newer thin lined white wall tires. All emblems on the car are there windows do go up and down some temperamental at times and do not work if you know these cars you know that problem. Bumpers all there but defiantly need to be re-chromed or replaced if you restore the car you have a great start if you choose to drive it and have some fun the car is very presentable. If you know someone that could wet sand and buff out the paint would look pretty good with some petunia. Radio works all lights turning signals and speed work. The gas tank gauge does not work probably sending unit I am guessing.

I welcome any questions or come take a look at the car in person I do reserve the right to end early as it is being listed locally. This is a 50 yr old car expect it to be
