Description

Selling my 1990 honda crx hf. This car gets about 40 mpg city and almost 50 highway. It is running and driving. It will fire right up after sitting for a long time.
The car is very high mileage, here is some valve noise that may go away if the valves were adjusted, t has been noisy for the last 4 years I've owned and driven it and not got any worse. The clutch also makes a grinding noise when pulling out, t doesn't seem to slip so I figure it is just the throw out bearing... this has been the same for years as well.
The car runs good on all four cylinders. It shifts good, ll gears work. The brakes work and do not drag or lock up on one side. It is a Florida car so very little rust. It had some type of an engine rebuild years ago as stated by the previous owner, have no idea how many miles have been put on the car since. I recently drove the car on a 3 hour trip with no problems. It has decent tires on the front two wheels and older tires on the rear but they all hold air.
There is no air conditioning, he components have been removed. The seats are out of a prelude or del sol, hey do not fit correctly and are not bolted in as the factory would recommend. They are a safety concern. I have been driving it as-is, recommend you do not.
The rear hatch does not close properly and has an issue with a hinge.
There are many various interior defects.
You will need to use a screwdriver to start the car as there is no key starter switch. The door locks and handles do work however.
It does not have a muffler, he exhaust stops at the rear where the muffler should be.
The wheels are off of a toyota corolla.
The car was originally red, t is now mostly blue. The paint is not in very good shape. It was in a minor front end collision that has been mostly fixed. The hood and front clip are still dented and not straight.
There is some play to the steering and more noticeable at highway speeds. I'm including some new/remanufactured tie-rods with the car, his may help with that issue if installed.
The speedometer and odometer do not work. The odometer reads into the 200,000s and has been there for quite a long time.
It has a sony headunit with aux in/cd. No FM. No antenna. New Pioneer (or maybe JVC, egardless they are on-brand) speakers in the doors, ome generic speakers in the rear.
Overall this car would make a decent gas saving commuter, specially if a little work was put into it. Cheap to buy, heap to fix, heap to fuel. Not a bad starting point for a race car either. It is sold as-is.
