2001 Honda Insight Hatchback Hybrid assist IMA malfunctioning and an additional engine fault.. Grid charger was installed and worked for 6 months. Seller thinks the grid charger is no malfunctioning and it's possible that the car can run with a new $300. grid charger installed. see condition statement. Car will start run and drive with low or no use of lights etc. day time use, eeds work for 100% operation.
Car starts and runs. I cut the wires to the Grid Charger and turned off the main battery. Grid Charger is not included and I think it was not working anyways after I started the car with it on, hich is not supose to happen.
see pictures of scratches and faded paint on top. car could be cleaned up. thanks and good luck bidding, 799. no reserve auction. 7 days. please pick up 21 days after end of auction of sooner.
Engine has a lot of miles on it but is in good condition. Oil change recently and new spark plugs were added. These engines usually outlast the rest if the car and have been known to live over 500k miles. This car was driven for the last 5 years as a commute care about 90 miles a day 5 days a week.
STARTING and running in current condition. Once you turn the key hold to start until the starter kicks in and starts the car. It takes a few seconds for the system to bypass the main fault then start the car. Once it starts there is a battery fault but then it will clear provided that there are no lights turned on or heaters or radio etc. keep everything turned off if you want the car ti run and drive. You should repair the main battery before driving at night (using lights etc.) Car will then die if you use to much power, ossibly leaving you stranded. The car will drive short distances and or maybe several miles or more in daytimeincluding onto a car trailer etc.
