2002 Honda Accord EX

I'm selling my 2002 Honda Accord LX. It has 300k miles and does have some issues which are listed below. But besides it's issues, hich you should expect from a car with 300k miles, t is a really good car and has been cared for impeccably throughout its life and I have detailed documentation to prove it. It was a gift from father in law at 286k and he took great care of it, s did I, nd all work is kept in a thick binder. This would be a great car for someone who is looking for a cheap fixer or parts for another accord. With a little work, t could easily go another 100k. It is easy to work on, heck 1Aauto.com for lots of videos on DIY service. Brand new alternator, lugs, -tech solenoid among other things, ll replaced myself and I am by no means a car guy. Beyond the issues below, verything else works perfect. Clean title, ooks at $1820 in its current condition. If it is fixed up, ould bring $3000. These are great cars. That's why if they are in great condition, hey can sell for twice their blue book. I love these cars so much, recently bought one exactly like it but with 180k miles. All offers accepted. Issues:Transmission - just recently the transmission began having problems which is why I am selling it. Not worth it for me to put the work into it. It drives pretty good, ut when downshifting, here is a vibration/grinding that is very noticeable. I suspect it is due to the fact that when I got it, t had not had the transmission fluid changed since 150k miles. So I knew it was too late and would just have to ride it out. I looked into getting a new tranny and found a guy in Sacto who has a rebuilt tranny ready to go and will install for $1400 parts and labor.Rack and Pinion - I'm told there is a minor leak in the rack and pinion. I haven't noticed any problems with the steering nor any puddles under the car. I do have to add power steering fluid a couple times a year but that's it.Catalytic Converter - the check engine light is on and the code is 0420 for emissions. It means that the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. It is a $280 part and is easy too change out. It is not welded on, ust bolted. This will fix the code and pass smog.
