Great car in good condition that needs some work. Buy to repair..buy for parts.
The 1993 EX came with 4 wheel disk brakes and ABS. It had a VTEC engine in it, different interior than other Civics, and a sunroof.
I purchased this car in 2005. It had 189,000 miles on it at the time.
I wanted a later model engine in it, so purchased a 1996 Civic VTEC engine and transmission with lower miles and installed them.
The car has lowered springs on it, camber adjustments on front and rear suspension, and heavy duty sway bars front and rear.
The wheels are 15" ALT brand. The tires are in decent shape.
It has a custom 8" subwoofer installed and aftermarket speakers and crossovers.
It had around 330000 miles on it when I gave it to my daughter to use. It burned a little oil at the time but otherwise ran great.
My daughter ran the car daily until the crank pulley came loose back in March. The car was parked and has set unused since.
I've looked at the end of the crank...the keyway is wallowed out a bit and the threads in the crank need chased with a tap.
It may be savable with a little work.
In lieu of fixing this engine, I will include the original engine/transmission that came out of the car. It ran fine when removed but I cannot guarantee its condition since it has been setting a good while.
The distributor is missing from the original engine.
The rotors have some surface rust on them from setting, but the brakes are otherwise good.
Paint is starting to bubble on the left rear quarter. There is a large dent in the passenger side roof rail. There is a little hail damage on the hood. Aluminum corrosion on the front wheel bead area causes air to slowly leak from the tires.
Obviously, the car isn't perfect. It is 23 years old and has seen lots of miles.
It could be a decent car again with a bit of work, or part it out.
The subwoofer and amplifier alone are worth 1/4 of the opening bid.
Local pick up only!
The car will not run as is so needs to be picked up on a trailer.
It is sold as is, where is.
