Completely radical ’50 Chevrolet. Over a 10 year build, urned this Chevy into a rolling piece of art. The fascia is completely transformed with Mercedes headlights and a custom chrome grille. From the forward slope to the snug fitting metal front bumper, bsolutely everything is modified in some way. A highly modified Saturn hood fits the look perfectly. The roofline, ncluding front and rear glass, s borrowed from a Dodge Neon though most folks would be hard pressed to identify the shape thanks to the alcoves that been carved out in front of the C-pillars. Every inch of trim his shaved in favor of the clean look. Everything is smoothed with subtle tail lights. The rear is tucked neatly against the body and features routing for the custom exhaust system. The amount of body work involved in the creation of this car is incredible but the execution is truly mind blowing.
The glossy two tone paint features PPG Chianti Red on the upper and Lamborghini Orange to the lower portions. Orange paint continues on to the floor pans, uspension components and frame. Predominant colors are broken up by airbrush work that simulates a thin strip of chrome trim and a small graphic featuring crossed flags reminiscent of the Corvette logo. Behind the logo, arbleized orange paint fills the gap between the airbrush work and a magenta stripe that is outlined by hand in neon green. Apparent from the PPG Dream Car award, he paint is stunning and shows incredibly well from all angles.
Power comes from fuel injected 502cid big block Chevy from Street & Performance. Producing over 500hp before the addition of a Comp roller cam and custom sheet metal intake manifold. Up top, custom air intake, esigned for this car and painted w/the same PPG paint, t has a stainless intake, luminum heads and custom chrome valve covers w/carbon fiber inserts. With the exception of the neatly tucked spark plug wires, here isn’t a visible wire in this bay. A polished radiator hidden by a custom body-matched panel that covers the front of the bay. Hooker headers, ustom polished stainless exhaust and Stainless Specialties mufflers.
The undercarriage is as wild as the body. Including a fully polished TH400 3-speed auto trans w/B&M torque converter. It has a Mooneyes Smart Shift system w/a digital push button unit. It has a polished Mark Williams rear end and a chrome four-bar rear suspension. Front has a chrome tubular-arm independent front suspension. Air Ride Tech’s Shockwaves. Rack and pinion steering and giant Baer disc brakes. Chrome fuel tank. Custom smoothed and painted Art Morrison chassis. Everything visible from underneath is either chromed, olished or painted PPG Orange. One of Boyd Coddington three-spoke in sizes 18”x8” and 22”x10”.
Fully custom interior by Street Seats. Seats and interior are beige leather. Items include custom leather-wrapped Body Coddington steering wheel, olished Flaming River steering column, olphin gauges, ustom full-length console offers a sleek luxurious look. A panel folds back to reveal controls for the air ride system, ir conditioning, ooneyes Smart Shift system and the JVC sound system. Hand built door panels, uede headliner and custom dome light surround finishes of the cabin. The trunk is finished to match the door panels. The air ride tank and compressors have been removed from sight.
