This 2003 Chevy Avalanche started out a 2WD, ton, .3 gas engine and I drove it that way for 6 years. After purchasing a travel trailer, came to realize that it wasn’t enough power for me. I loved the truck and did not want to sell it, o at that time I decided to make it more powerful. The Duramax idea snowballed into making it 4x4 and ¾ ton. I installed a 2004 LLY Duramax w/ Allison transmission all taken from a Chevy Crewcab 2500HD. The ECM was sent off and reprogrammed for fuel economy (gets 19mpg consistently). I installed dual electric radiator fans and designed my own automatic fan controller. The engine runs very cool, nloaded or loaded. The front differential was pulled from a 2005 Dodge 2500HD, t is a AAM 925 and I added the manual locking hubs. All OEM front coil spring brackets and suspension components came from the Dodge. The rear diff. is from the Chevy 2500HD and is a 14-bolt limited-slip Corporate (all brackets moved from the ½ ton diff. to the ¾ ton diff.) The rear suspension mechanism is primarily stock Avalanche 4-link with the exception of the auto air-ride system. I installed a custom onboard compressed air system to operate the air-ride and air horns (very loud). It consists of a Gast 1/3HP piston air compressor and 2-5 gallon air tanks. There is also an air quick-connect to run air tools. You can load this truck as much as you want and it will level itself automatically. Options on the truck include; PS, ydraBoost power 4-wheel disc brakes, ower Sunroof, ruise, M Pwr. Extending Tow Side Mirrors (painted to match), W, DL, wr. Pedal Position, teering Wheel Controls, ilt Wheel, ntermitting Wipers, wr. Leather Seats, limate Control, ustom Overhead Gauges, enwood 7” touchscreen w/ SXM, Pod connect, /U camera & DVD, actory Bose system w/ added amp & 10” subwoofer under rear seat. Roof rack rails have been chrome plated w/ end caps painted to match, oof spoiler added, scalade painted bed cladding w/ oversized LED 3rd brake light, scalade chrome door handles & tailgate handle (not cheap chrome stick-on), 0” chrome wheels w/ new Michelin 34” tires, ew LED taillights, 004 hood and grille, ainted to match front bumper top cap, ainted to match fender flares and Yukon side molding. This truck is extremely reliable and extremely POWERFUL. It will pull just about anything. It runs and drives perfectly. It has been garage kept all of it’s life and the original paint and interior is in excellent condition. It has no scratches or dents and has never been wrecked. Odometer is showing 174k, hat is the correct mileage for the engine as the cluster came from the donor truck. The Avalanche itself only has around 70k miles.COMES WITH EFI LIVE INTERFACE CABLE AND PROGRAM !!!I am an extreme perfectionist, specially when I am building it to keep. This truck was put together RIGHT and is definitely a ”one of a kind”. You could take it to any mechanic, nd I assure you, e will tell you “it looks like it came from the factory this way”. The only reason I’m selling it is, ’m reducing down to one vehicle so I’m selling everything except my new Jeep. You can purchase this vehicle at a reduced price on Craigslist Houston.
