More:
The vehicle runs strong and looks good. The history section below will explain how the vehicle got to where it is today. Here is a list of all the things I can think of that are not perfect on the truck. It would be up to you if you want to address them or just leave as is like I have done, had every intention to do so but never did.
Replace or repair the LH exterior A-pillar and roof trim
Install pass airbag (comes with truck), onnect the driver airbag & reset the module.
Replace the RH front wheel hub (just happened). Affects ABS & Traction control
- Find and install a lower front grill
- Paint repair – the original repair that was done was not so good and is flaking in some areas. Zoom in on the driver side picture at the door and you can see
I have been driving this H2 only on weekends and short trips for the past 6 years. Sure… it has a salvage title & could use a few repairs. But, ompare this one to most other H2’s for sale of the same year and you will see that this one has pretty much 1/2 the miles on it for close to 1/2 the price. Depends what you are looking for.
History:
I purchased this vehicle from a COPART insurance auction (Texas) in 2010 thru a local used car dealer’s license. The vehicle was in what I will call a fairly mild accident, he last picture gallery shows the way it looked when I bought it. The Extent of damage was: Hood, umper, rille, ore support, ush bar, H frame rail (minor straighten), adiator, ondenser, H Mirror, H Fender, indshield, R & PASS airbags, lignment and a few other odds and ends.
At that time the dealer I used for the purchase had quoted me a fair price to make the necessary repairs and have the vehicle inspected by the state. As the repair work progressed the shopstarted nickel and diming me so bad that Istopped work on itat a point just short of final completion as towhere it was acceptable to pass the state inspection. Items that were left to be completed (install passenger airbag, eset air-bag module, cquire a front lower grill, eplace damaged exterior a-pillar and roof trim pieces).
Michigan law:” Vehicles that have salvage titles are required to be inspected by a specially trained salvage vehicle inspector before a license plate may be purchased for the vehicle”.
The vehicle was assessed and passed the state inspectionandthe title was reissued by the state of Michigan.
