Been working on a kit car and it's time to trough in the towel.
I have over $25,000 committed to this project.
If you would like to see it - please let me know.
I will consider all reasonable offers.
I've updated the post with photos just taken of the current state of the build. Let me know if you have questions and if you would like to see it.
QuestionsQ: Did the car run with the Cadillac Northstar engine?
A: I had the car running this past summer. Battery was dead when I tried today. I was in the middle of connection all the VDO gauges when I stopped. I have the mapping diagrams and all the wires are coded.
Q: Are they Ferrari seats?
A: Replica upholstery system. Seats were meant to be drop-in replacements since the original hardware is still in place.
Q: Is that a Ferrari 355 interior?
A: Yes - but it's a super high end replica that's designed to mount in the fiero. Comes with the dash, oor skins, enter console, tc. It still needs to be wrapped in leather or whatever you like. There are end caps that go over the edges to give a finished pro look. I remember paying double for the interior, ompared to the body kit.
Q: How did you get a Cadillac Northstar V8 drivetrain to fit in a Fiero?
A: A company called Design One Systems (Kevin Leslie) did this for me. I sent him my motor mount and he sent me a mount with a motor, ranny, pdated computer and instructions on finishing the install - including cooling system requirements and gauge readouts. Since a Cadillac (1999 El'Dorado) is front wheel drive, he motor and tranny are all in the front. This system just put it in the back.
Q: How much to finish?
A: I just don't have the time since I had my 3rd and took a new job far away. It would be a shame to let it go to waste. All the big money items have been purchased and your getting them for less than half price. Your biggest cost will be time. Time to finish gauges, ount the body, ondo it up, rep for paint, pholster the interior parts, ount the interior, et an alignment, abricate the top (i believe i have plans for this), et it painted - drive.... I'd say $5k to finish.
Please ask me all the questions can. I can take more photos, ust let me know what you want to see.
Just some of the line items I've purchased
If you want to come see it - please let me know so we can schedule something.
SHIPPINGI will split this cost with you. I really don't know how much it will cost.
