Original Jaguar 4-speed all-synchro transmission. Original chrome knock-off wire-wheels. Set of wider series-three chrome wire-wheels included extra. Original color. Willow Green with black interior. Windshield cracked. Many mechanical parts have been media-blasted and painted black as original. Eight-track tape-deck included!I ordered this E-Type in 1969. from England. while serving in Vietnam and picked it up at the docks in New York around June 1970. This was a great driving. handling & stopping car and I drove it everywhere. In the early Seventies I drove it from my house in Lebanon. NJ to Milwaukee in 12 hours with a traffic jam in Chicago slowing me down. It ran like a freight-train. James Hunt. the Grand Prix driver. once admired this car. as did hundreds of gas-jockeys and regular folk. Unfortunately. the body started showing some rust in 1976 and I stored the car intending to repair it but racing. business and family obligations got in the way and the restoration was never completed. I now have other toys and still have no time to finish the restoration and I'm hoping to find a loving home for my E-Type. I have many more photos of the restoration in progress. Will upload photos tonight (there are about a hundred) of current condition of car and parts: BONNET is in pretty good shape see photos @ . I don't think it has any cancer. It does have some old dent repairs and the headlight nacelle chrome trim is damaged. FLOORS are pretty good with no known cancer. Brown areas in the interior are mostly old glue and dirt. not corrosion. MAIN RUST DAMAGE happened between the rear wheel arches and the doors. The inner fenders were not sealed properly when the car was built at the factory and the box-section ahead of each rear wheel filled up with dust and water spray. I was sickened when the body started showing rust bubbles behind each door. You can see in the photos where I cut the jagged inspection holes back in 1976 and all the dirt poured out. ROCKER PANELS (OUTER SILLS) Both rusted at the back ends. Left rocker was replaced in 1985. right rocker was removed last year (see photos). MILEAGE: 73028 (not 72028!)STORAGE: The car was obviously driven in the rain but has been stored indoors in various buildings since 1976. DOCUMENTATION: We have the original New Jersey Motor Vehicle Title issued in 1970. I also have service notes hand written inside the shop manual from the 1970s I don't think I have any factory or dealer paperwork but I make a search. TOOLS AND JACK: The jack is still with the car. Except for a lead knock-off hammer and a special wrench (spanner) for the knock-off nuts. no tools came with the car when new. I was going to convert the tail to the original Series One look. The full width flat panel where the license-plate mounts is the exact same part on Series One and Two. The difference is in how the curved panels terminate AROUND the license-plate and how the tail-lights mount. These panels are available new. The piece we cut out can be welded back in or the panel replaced. The tail-light openings were laid out but never cut. I was going to build an aluminum Light-Weight style front bonnet for the car also. I just don't have the spare time. The triple SU carburetor assembly. the Series 3 wheels and a couple of extra Martin Robey replacement panels are all part of the package. I'm not trying to sell those at extra cost. Sorry if that was confusing. More photos coming.
