2005 Jaguar XK8 Coupe Series 1 Phase 2b.

This rare, ovely well preserved example is the XK8 coupe thatJaguar aficionados are seeking. Fabulous Platinum Silver Metallic. The best of the production run with the upgraded (Phase 2) 4.2 engine and 6-speed transmission. Only the '05-'06 (Phase 2b) had the lower body ground effects, ore aggressive lower front valance, arger and wider "Atlas" wheelsandanodized aluminum dash and console bezels.

Timeless 3-gauge center dash package (this was actually an unusualoption not to get the navigation) instead of (the now troublesome andcan't get updates) outdated early Jaguar navigation (99 percent of last-of-the-run coupescame into the country withnavigation). Doa search and you will see. There are a bigger selection ofconvertibles without the navigation though...but the '05 and '06 coupes are difficult to find, specially in this condition without high mileage.Most will agree, he dash is much prettier to look at without the box in the center...a more sports car and timeless appearance. Also, lease look at the condition of the wood as well as the gorgeous pattern of the burled veneer. Most are milky from sun exposure andmany are not very attractive patterns. The wood on the steering wheel and shift knob still feel like glass in your hands...mint perfect condition.

Previously owned many years by a lady physician in Tampa Florida and was garaged day and night (under-building parking). In my ownership for the past three years it has been garaged in a climate controlled garage. Just spent $1,500 on new highly rated BFG G-Force tires, lignment and wiper arm assemblies and blades. I just installed a full size XK8 specific brand new battery for years of trouble free maintenance.

Ownership preservation: I'm a retired Jaguar and British Leyland technician.A majorkey to warding off electrical troubles and assuring overall systems reliability is proper humidity free storage. There are many vacuum lines and multi-pin connectors in modern cars that break down with corrosion and decay if left outside and even in carports. In purchasing a car formyself it was imperative that I find a car that had been properly stored...always. When Ipurchased this car three years ago, was convinced that the car was never left out in the humidity and I have continued this same level of care for this car in my ownership.

. ....Not to be compared to the early cars with anemic engines, silicone impregnated engine cylinder walls, iming chain design failure) and transmission failures. Ford and Jaguar did the upgrades and got these cars right. No accidents and no salt exposure...always in the South.Engine bay and underbody hardware like new. Approximately only 200 '05-'06 coupes imported and please note, anyof the '06 cars did not not have lovely wood steering wheels. Some were called Victory Editions.

This is apristine car that appears like a twoyearold car. There are somevery light touch-ups on the bumpers, ut overall the paint is 100 percent untouched original. There are no dings or dents whatsoever. Theglass is perfect. The rubber seals are perfect and supple just like new...because this car has been out of the sun and especially humidity.

Many say that the XK8 coupe is one of the most beautiful cars of modern times. There are similar design cues to the earlier and loved XKE coupes especially with the genuine glass headlight covers (approx. 99 percent of modern cars have plastic headlight covers). Thiscar is more than just garage art that is too expensive to drive like the $250k XKE show cars out there. Yes, n apples to oranges comparison, ut my point being, hese cars are elegant and wonderful to drive. The power, andling and inside comforts are top tier. The A/C blows cold and the heat blows warm. No code lights and all systems are functioning. A bargain price for a car that costnear $75,000 out the door new in '05.

Prices for E Type XKE Jaguars are astronomical for restored cars and even an earlybasket case or rough driver-level covered headlight car is between $60k-$100k (no A/C and needing total restoration). This car represents the best of the series 1 XK8 coupes. Because of the collectability and inflation of the XKEs, lassic car dealers will soon be looking for more affordable cars to ask top tier prices for (to double their money on)...and they want the best of the bestto do this with. I wouldn't be surprised to start seeingcars like this (if you can find one) with asking prices twiceor more than twice my asking price very soon. Not only is this car rare, t is gorgeous. I'm only letting this car go because I purchased a classic DB Aston and I need space.

There are hundreds of entry level early XK8s on the market. This car is for someone that has either owned an earlier car and has suffered the expenses for the repairs and decided to let it go to someone else, r someone that has done their due diligence in learning that the later cars are the "keepers".

Lastly, need to mention that the original changer-in-the-trunk sound systemmay havefailed or possibly previous owner preference for convenienceand the car now has a single CD sound system installed professionally and sounding marvelous with the original electricantenna working properly. The owners handbook is included with this as well as the original Jaguar owners manual and 2 sets of original keys.

Spare Tire and jack with tools. How many modern sports carshave one of these any more? Hardly any, f any indeed! The spare tireand tools havenever been used andare in new condition.
