12 years and approximately 9,000 miles have passed since we restored this beautiful E Type, nd it is now time for her to go to a new home!
This car has just received a major mechanical update in the Team CJ workshops. Within the last 300 miles we have installed new Dunlop tires, ew Koni shocks and springs, ew uprated CJ torsion bars, ur latest specification vented brake conversion, ew H4 headlamps, new stainless steel CJ header system, CJ K&N billet air filter kit, ebuilt the triple SU carbs and installed a state of the art Ignition 123 electronic distributor. This car is now in perfect mechanical condition and drives beautifully. This exceptional E Type features numerous performance and reliability upgrades, ncluding a smooth shifting CJ5 five speed transmission (the original matching number four speed casing is included in the sale). The original air cleaner plenum and canister is also included in the sale.
Cosmetically the paint has picked up a few very minor nicks and imperfections since the car left CJ 12 years ago. That said, he paint still shows very nicely overall, nd could best be described as 'high quality driver' or perhaps 'local show' standard. As is almost always the case, he photos make the paint appear a little better than it actually is. The interior and canvas convertible top show just the right amount of patina you might expect from 9,000 miles of gentle use, nd remain in excellent condition. This matching number CJ restoration is 100% rust free, osmetically extremely presentable, nd mechanically absolutely superb.I have personally used the car frequently over the last several months and it has been an absolute joy to drive. With restoration costs typically around $300,000, nd freshly restored cars changing hands for significantly more than that, his particular E Type represents an excellent opportunity and investment at our asking price. Furthermore, t is at a price point where you would not be frightened to drive and enjoy the car, hile it continues to increase in value.
