EXTERIOR STYLING
The purity and elegance of the design gives the F-TYPE a lasting beauty. The proportions and stance communicate muscularity and latent energy. Look closely, nd you will see how established Jaguar design themes have been evolved- most notably the J-Blade headlights and the shape of the four-sided grille. However the grille on the F-TYPE is lower than that on the XF and XJ, longated, nd with a slight forward lean to give a sense of motion and power.

DRIVER-CENTRIC COCKPIT
The F-TYPE is a pure two-seat sports car. The driver-focused, symmetric dual cockpit is referred to as a "1+1" cabin. 1+1 means the emphasis is on the driver, ith a clear division between driver and passenger sides created by a prominent grab handle on the center console and different trim materials on either side of the cockpit. The grab handle separates the passenger from the driving controls, ending a clear message that these controls are driver interfaces. It also serves as a subtle signal to the potential of the car - it might be time to buckle up and hold on tight.

F-TYPE POWERTRAINS
The F-TYPE lineup features three supercharged engines: two versions of the new Jaguar 3.0 liter V6 and the acclaimed Jaguar 5.0 liter V8. The 340 hp V6 in the F-TYPE is shared with XF and XJ; the 380 hp V6 version in the F-TYPE S is exclusive to F-TYPE, s is the supercharged V8, roducing 495 hp in the F-TYPE V8 S. The key to those impressive power figures are Roots-type vortex superchargers. Intercoolers reduce intake air temperature and improve power and efficiency. All F-TYPE models are rear wheel drive for balanced sports car handling.

ALL-ALUMINUM SPORT SUSPENSION
In addition to its aluminum body and engine, he F-TYPE features a suspension where all the major components - the forged double wishbone front and rear suspensions and front subframe - are also all made from aluminum. The strength and light weight of aluminum is especially critical in the suspension: stiffness for accurate tuning and geometry, nd light weight to reduce unsprung mass for more responsive movement.

8-SPEED QUICKSHIFT ZF TRANSMISSION
The new 8-speed 'QuickShift' ZF automatic features closely spaced ratios and is specifically engineered for the F-TYPE with shifts that are shorter and more immediate, ith almost no perceptible interruption of torque delivery during aggressive acceleration. It works smoothly in auto mode, nd shifts quickly in manual mode with complete driver control. To further enhance a connected and responsive feel once the transmission is in 2nd gear a clutch mechanism locks the torque converter to create a direct mechanical connection between the engine and the driven wheels. An Adaptive Shift strategy responds and tailors shifts to how the car is being driven, rom relaxed to aggressive. The transmission also features Corner Recognition, nteracting with other vehicle systems to recognize when the car is in a turn to prevent upshifts while cornering.

DYNAMIC MODE
All the electronic chassis control systems of the F-TYPE do not remove the driver from a sense of involvement, hey actually heighten it. With Dynamic Mode the driver can engage these systems to enhance a more spirited drive. Activating Dynamic Mode changes the settings of the major driver touch-points and control systems, ncluding adjusting throttle response, teering weighting and on S and V8 S models the Adaptive Dynamics suspension damping; it also prevents automatic upshifts when using manual shift mode. Dynamic Mode also changes interior illumination to red signaling the change in vehicle demeanor.

MERIDIAN AUDIO SYSTEM
The standard 380W Meridian tm sound system features 10 speakers with exceptional clarity and dynamics. The optional 770W Meridian Surround Sound system features Meridian's industry-leading digital sound processing. Its 12 speakers produce an incredible surround sound performance. The system includes Meridian's Trifield system and Dolby Pro Logic IIx. In both the 380W and 770W systems Dynamic Volume Control constantly compensates for changes in ambient sound giving consistently high quality audio. Meanwhile Meridian tm Cabin Correction (MCC) delivers a smoother, ore natural sound, dding clarity and definition to every instrument. MCC incorporates a precise acoustic analysis of the F-TYPE cabin and special digital filters to balance reverberation and enhance listening pleasure.

FULL-COLOR TOUCH-SCREEN
The intuitive 8-inch Touch-screen controls important vehicle functions including audio, elephone and navigation.

BLUETOOTH FOR PHONE AND AUDIO
Standard Bluetooth technology can wirelessly connect compatible cell phones to the vehicle's built-in hands-free telephone system.2 Calls can be made and accepted using either the central Touch-screen or steering wheel-mounted controls. Bluetooth audio streaming is also possible from advanced smart phones and MP3 players.
All Jaguar engines showcase the latest engineering technologies. High-pressure direct fuel injection maximizes air/fuel mixing for optimal power and efficiency. Variable Camshaft Timing eliminates the compromise between low-speed torque and high-RPM power, hile helping to reduce emissions and increase fuel economy. And turbocharging and supercharging ensure signature Jaguar performance, egardless of engine size.
New Supercharged Jaguar V6
Drawing on key technologies used in the Jaguar V8, he new supercharged 3.0 liter Jaguar V6 offers eight-cylinder-like performance but with enhanced efficiency. This 340 or 380 horsepower V6 uses a high 10.5:1 compression ratio - something unheard of in supercharged engines just a few years ago. The engine also features counter-rotating front and rear balancer weights for smoothness and refinement befitting a Jaguar car.
