Description

1969 JAGUAR E-TYPE2 PLUS 244,174 ACTUAL MILES4.2 LITERAUTOMATICAIR CONDITION
I bought this car in 1979 when I was 17 years old. It has been driven very little since I bought it. It has been in storage in an insulated hangar since that time. I would periodically take it for a short drive. It is a good straight car with matching numbers. It has had one repaint. The paint was faded when I bought it and I had it painted in 1980. It runs good but needs a tune up. I should have this completed before the auction ends. I have orderedcarburetorrebuild kits andignitionwires. Neither have ever been done on this car but due to age needs it. When I bought this car it came with some history and the original window sticker. Both I have misplaced but I am hoping that is only temporary. I am NOT selling these items with the car since I can't put my hands on them. If I run across these items, will forward them to the buyer.
Here are the issues that I see:
There is a scratch on the passenger's side as shown in the picture where someone rubbed against it with something while in the hangar. The driver door with not unlatch from the outside. My father took the doors off of the car several years ago to install new seals. He reinstalled the doors but they could use some adjustment. The chrome is off of the rear window but I have it as shown in the picture. The A/C vents are out but I have all but one of them that goes with the car. Some normal chrome pitting. The RPM gauge functioned the last time that I drove it but it isin-opnow.
This is a good straight unmolested car. Not a show piece by any means but a good one to make that way. The interior is original and has cracks and fading. I have not cleaned it up. I pulled it out of the hangar and took the pictures, rove it around the building and put it back up.
I ended the previous auction early on my other account "staraviationllc" for two reasons: The other account for whatever reason blocked bidders in Europe. I called Ebay customer service twice about this and they insisted that it was for sale worldwide. Despite this, everalpotentialbidders in Europe contacted me that they were unable to bid. I was unsuccessful at changing this. The other reason, decided to ordercarburetorrebuild kits to overhaul thecarburetorsandignitionwiring. I advertised the car prematurely before realizing that sitting for a year (the last time it was driven) It might need a turn up. A year ago, t ran perfect! Jaguars!
