1962 JAGUAR E-TYPE XKE SERIES ONE 3.8 COUPE. ORIGINAL, RARE, FACTORY BLACK/RED

Offered for sale, rom KURT TANNER MOTORCARS is this early and very interesting E-type Coupe. This car was recently purchased from a seller in the high desert of California where it was in the ownership of his family for the past 40 years. It has been stored off the road for the last 20 years. It is a highly original and together car, nd has never been disassembled. It appears to have been repainted and retrimmed a few times, nd now awaits a proper and straightforward restoration.
Despite the old scabby paintwork, the body on the car is actually straight and reasonably solid. There is some typical bubbling in the lower rocker panels and under the boot floor under one of the spare tire rails. There are two small rust-through areas on the bonnet (pictured) from some exposure to the weather. The dipped floor sections in the front footwell have some very minor usual rust. The body overall is very straight and accident-free with very decent panel fits/gaps.
The original matching number engine in the car turns nicely by hand and may even run with some work. The oil appears clean. The previous owner noted that the car was put into storage because of braking issues.The car still retains it's original early Roadster style seats and "smooth" oil pan, long with it's other early features.
Overall, an excellent, ntouched, ighly desirable early 3.8 Coupe in a rare and superb color scheme. A nice, traight, ecently solid California car awaiting a proper and correct restoration.
