NO RESERVE - Jag XJS Convertible, GM 350 V8, Florida Car, A/C Works, Needs TLC

1989 Jaguar XJS, 6k, 50 V8, speed automatic transmission. Rare factory rear spoiler. Florida Jaguar, as only been up in New York since late winter. I had planned on the car being a spring project but finances force sale.

This conversion was done with a low mileage (approximately 40k) 1977 Corvette V8, dding improved reliability and low cost maintenance. The car had been sitting for awhile when I purchased it and needs to be gone through before being put on the road. The brakes are weak and need to go nearly to the floor to stop, ew madter cylinder included. I did confirm the transmission shifts properly on a long private stretch of road and I've had her idling for over a half hour with no temperature issues and the engine idled smoothly the entire time. A/C compressor turns on but does not blow cold, he system has been retrofitted for modern freon. The Jag should be considered a "yard driving" project car, ut it shouldn't take much to get it on the road in time for summer cruising.

Cosmetically the car is in fair to good original condition. The car is dirty in the photos but the paint can actually be shined up and the body is straight and solid overall. The chrome isn't bad and interior is complete but needs attention (open seams in leather, un cracked dash, tc). The convertible top was replaced about 5 years ago. A good washing and interior cleaning would go a long way.

1989 Jaguar XJS XJ12 Coupe, 12, ow miles at 29k, dometer reading verified by Carfax. Black leather interior, eated seats, ll options. Recent work includes new starter and exhaust work. The starter replacement on the V12 requires dropping both exhaust pipes; those who know these cars will appreciate the work done. The interior looks brand new, he paint is a bit dull. Overall, "nearly new" 1989 XJ12, ll stock down to the Jaguar radio. Running well until a few weeks back, hen it began running rough and then would start and stall. My mechanic explained it's a fuel injection issue; he ordered parts for the car but before bringing it in I've decided to sell. I've got much invested in this car; it could be a simple matter to get her back on the road. As they say, y loss, our gain.
