1968 Jaguar XKE 2 +2 coupe, 1.5, Original Calif. car, 3 Owner, Numbers matching.

1968 Jaguar XKE E series 2 + 2 coupe. I purchased it from Ball's rod shop in Indiana in 2000. He purchased it from California in 1999. I believe it is a 3 Owner. Body is painted a combination of Dark Toreador Red and Dark Carmine Red. Some bonnet work but it's not noticeable. Newer Coker 185-R15 Redline radial Tires. 15" Wire Daytona Chrome rims. Chrome all redone. including bumpers. New exhaust pipes. Rebuilt 2 Stromberg carbs. Rebuilt Master cylinder. New seat covers from and back. New interior amateur work. New seat belts with Jaguar insignia. New front windshield and rubber on windows. New Lucas Headlights. New brakes with receipts in 1999. Cylinder head and valve job in 1999. Slight transmission leak. Transmission hesitates when shifting but does shift. Speedometer doesn't work correctly So millage is anybodies guess. Tach does. Temperature gauge reads high but checked with infra red reads fine. New dash cover. Electric oil gauge doesn't work. I installed a manual gauge. Starts up and drives nice but it does need a little work. Driven about 200 miles a year to local car shows. This has been my personal dream car and I have babied it and am now retired and still love to take it to car shows but its time to let it go to someone who will appreciate it as much as I have.
