Description

My pride and joy for 34 years. second owner. Has never spent time outside unless its a sunny day and the road is callingThis is a great example of an E-TYPE Series III 2+2 Survivor. sporting a four-speed V12. This early production. numbers matching. nbsp;high compression Series 3 has had only 1 previous owner. as the second owner I have had it since 1980. It is Original in almost all respects Finished in Willow Green with Beige leather interior. nbsp;the car has been garaged from new and has always been free of rust. It is all original on the inside but does need a new headliner. The leather has some "patina". but no rips or tears. When shown on cruise night she gets plenty of views and I get lots compliments The car received a chrome off repaint approximately 25 years ago. It was a high quality Lacquer paint. which unfortunately has begun to fail in recent years. it has a lot of cracking very common to aged Lacquer paint of that time. From a few feet away it still looks stunning. but up close you see the cracking. All chrome is in exc original condition. No big ugly bumper riders!! The headlights. nbsp;rear lights and other lenses are the original Lucas items. and the exhaust was recently upgraded to stainless steel with a new quad exhaust tail. Wheels. as shown. are Bolt on wire wheels with nearly new Good Year directional radials. The original steel wheels are included in this sale. All gauges. turn signals. horns. hazard warning. nbsp;headlight flashers and even the clock are in perfect working order. The air conditioning system has always worked well and blows cold. The car has had many service parts replaced in the recent past. new clutch. starter. shocks. brake lines and Pads and just this past year the heads where re-conditioned with new valves. valve guides and valve seats. Like many early Jag’s this one does have its share of minor fluid leaks. but the engine is in very good health and has always been dependable. never any unplanned roadside breakdowns. It runs and drives very well. Keep. drive and show the car as a great example of a Survivor or Go for a full or partial restoration…either way this is a great car to start or add to your collection.
