Description

Stating the obvious here. but make sure you have funds ready and shipping in place before committing to buy my Jeep. I am selling my 2004 Overland WJ Grand Cherokee Overland. Bought it from the original owner up in Northern California. I live in SoCal so this is a rust-free. accident free. all highway mile driven Jeep that has been tastefully updated with a professionally-installed Rough Country 4-inch Long Arm Suspension kit and aligned on a Hunter rack. To top it off. it has been upgraded with dual steering stabilizers and an awesome set of awesome Bilstein 5100 shocks. It rides smooth like a Cadillac (an older one. not a new one) and tackles the back trails nicely with the Quadra-Drive axle differential system. Since this is the Overland Edition. it also has the two-tone leather interior and comes fully equipped with power adjustable pedals. dual zone climate control. power sunroof. heated seats and Infinity stereo with 10-disc CD changer. Everything works fine. Most importantly. and the reason why I bought an '04 Overland. is that it has side curtain airbags for safety and all the convenience options. I don't have the factory disc for the navigation. but I don't bother because it has such a small screen. so I use my iPhone and the Waze app. The engine was completely rebuilt only 5. 00 miles ago. Overall. this is the best WJ from the factory since it has two true solid axles (Dana 44a in back. Dana 30 in front) with a locking center diff and two mechanical clutch-type lockers in each axle. This is the best generation Grand Cherokee in my opinion. when you want to blend on-road comfort and off-road capability with reliability. They have a loyal following. but everyone knows that the top-dog Overland with the 265-horse High Output 4. 7 engine is the one to get. As such. these Jeeps have two idiosyncrasies that you should know. The blend doors. which blend heat and AC in the ducts behind the dash. sometimes go bad. But these are fine on mine. They have never been tampered with and work fine. They make the trademark opening and closing noise after you shut it off. so you know they are good. Also. it has the common ticking sound when you start it up cold. but it doesn't affect anything. It runs and drives like it should--powerful and efficiently. No smoke. no leaks. no check engine lights. no problems. Passed smog last year with no issues. Plates are current. There is a K&N high flow air filter kit (CARB legal) to add some power and sound. The wheels and tires are from a 2013 Wrangler Rubicon and the tire pressure sensors are all new. Brakes are great. no squeaks or shakes. Everything works like it should. When the engine was rebuilt. it also got a new battery. OEM Mopar fuel pump and sender assembly. fuel filter. water pump. thermostat. etc. I've also added a front tow hitch and tow bar assembly so you can pull it behind and RV. like we have. The truck has also been wired so that the taillights repeat what the RV does. Factory roof rack crossbars have also been added. the body has a couple of dings and some scratches. but for its age. it is one of the cleanest WJs you will ever see. The paint is all original and shiny. For those of you that are enthusiasts. if you do the math and add up the time it takes to find a clean. unmolested. original owner 2004 WJ Overland like mine to start with. buying this makes a lot of sense. When you factor in the costs to buy a full long-arm suspension. get it installed. aligned. sorted. and upgraded with Bilsteins and have JK Rubicon wheels. sensors and tires put on. you'd be spending twice as much on such a rig. And you'd still be praying that everything else works or has been replaced. Luckily here. everything has been gone over. And yes. I even had the airbag recall done on it. so you're good to go. I am selling this as is. where is. with no warranty expressed or implied. It has been a great Jeep for my family. but we are sadly looking at minivans. so that's why we are selling it. I am not interested in any trades. Come pick it up and drive it anywhere. I trust it to take my family into the middle of the desert (Ocatillo Wells. Big Bear. etc. ) I am closest to John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana. Orange County. California (SNA. ) If you fly in. I can pick you up and you'll be on your merry way. Deposit of $500 via Paypal is fine. Rest must be in cash or bank check within 3 days of auction end. Thanks for looking and God Bless.
