The standard engine in the base Commander (or Sport. as it is called for 2007) is the 3. 7L SOHC V6. which produces 210 horsepower and 235 ft-lbs of torque. Two 4. 7L V8 engines are available on the sport as well--one that is flex fuel capable. and the other a conventional gas engine. Both produce 235 horsepower. The 4. 7L V8 is standard on the Limited trim. and the 5. 7L Hemi V8 is optional. On the Overland. the 330-horsepower Hemi is standard. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard on all Commanders. regardless of trim.
