We are an RV dealer in the mountains of Western Maryland. You are looking at a non-RV that we took on trade towards an RV. It is a privately-owned unit that was traded in to our dealership - it is NOT something we bought at an auction, t is NOT a repo, t is NOT a salvage piece. We avoid items like those, or the same reason you do - you just don't know what you're getting. But if a customer wants to trade an item like this in, owards an RV purchase...well...equity is equity, nd if we think we can sell it, e'll take it on trade!
I'm a Jeep guy, 've owned Wranglers, herokees, ibertys, agoneers, nd Grand Cherokees over the years - and this is a nice Wrangler. I used to have a '92 YJ 4.0/stick, nd it was pretty much indestructible. This TJ should also be pretty indestructible - LOW miles, egendary 4.0 inline six, ice shifting six speed stick, ood solid floors, nd it's nice and clean (TOO clean for a Jeep, n my mind)! Don't want a bunch of extra stuff, ust want a nice convertible that you can use year-round because of the 4x4? This one's bone-stock and will do just what you want it to, ight out of the box. Want to build yourself a lifted, aged, obbed, lat-fender, ED-lit, onster-tired trail monster? Here's a clean slate for you to start with - no "undo'ing" (or paying for!) someone else's mods just to take them off and put in the stuff that YOU want. Check out my ad below, nd the photos of the Jeep - I think you'll like what you see. It's not flashy. It's not huge. It's not fire-breathing. But, t's a super-nice, lean, olid, ow-mile Jeep.
Compared to my YJ, his is the lap of luxury! It's got ice cold a/c, ull doors with roll-up windows, nice top that doesn't flap a whole lot in the wind, ood carpet, o funky smells, nd the upholstery is in good shape. Everything inside seems to work just like it should, ith one exception - the blower fan. It only works on "hi" (but BOY does it work!!). That's not unusual, nd it's just a resistor that needs to be replaced. But when you turn on that a/c and turn the fan up to hi, t'll freeze you right out of the truck! The seats feel good, here's no smells, he gauges all work, he stereo works, he controls all feel good...this is a nice little Jeep! Again - it's BONE STOCK. No aftermarket stereo, o booming subwoofer, o Wet Okole seatcovers...just a nice, olid, lean, actory TJ. YOU get to turn it into what you want!
Outside is pretty much the same as the inside - very nice, actory-original condition. The fender flares need a shot of "bumper black" to get them back to being nice and dark (and you need to clean out some wax the owners got into the textured plastic), nd the rear windows are fogged - you may be able to clean them up with the right cleaners, ut if not, ou can get replacement window kits from Quadratec (if you're a Jeep owner, ou know who Quadratec is!) for as little as $250. But I looked underneath - nice clean floorboards, ood and solid. The engine starts and runs like a champ - no noises, o smoke. Transmission shifts like it should and the clutch feels good. 4x4 works. Wheels look great. Tires...are getting low, ut they do pass the MD state inspection (more on inspection items below). I didn't see any body damage or signs of paint work - this really is a nice, ow-mile, one-stock TJ. Now, or the inspection items. First off, his is MARYLAND - land of the unreasonable-expectations-inspection, ecause vehicles only get inspected here when they change hands, ot every year to keep things nice. They get one shot at these, o they really hammer us on the details. That said, his TJ...needs some maintenance, ut that's about it. And, t's nothing unreasonable for a 90k mile vehicle - no signs of abuse or lack of maintenance at all, t's just...time to do some of the stuff, hat's all. And - if you live in Maryland, e'll take care of getting it to pass inspection, hen you click Buy It Now! Here's what the inspectors found - as you can see, o big items: Serpentine belt is cracked and should be replaced (powers the power steering, hich makes it a "safety item") Front rotors measure too thin for spec (work fine, o pulling or pulsing, hey just don't measure up; pads are fine) Muffler casing is split at the seam (runs quiet, ut a split seam fails the inspection) Rear window too cloudy, oor rear visibility, eeds cleaned or replaced. Other maintenance items that were noted - not required for inspection, ut just a note for the new owner: Blower motor only works on hi (mentioned above) Lower radiator hose has a small leak at the radiator - can probably tighten clamp, ut hoses are cheap enough... Rear differential is leaking at the cover gasket - not bad, ut wet to the touch. See? Nothing major at all!! Whoever gets this Jeep is going to get themselves a nice, olid, ood-running, ong-lasting truck. Convertible. SUV. 4x4. All of the above! Make it as wild as you want...leave it just the way it is...no matter what you do, it's a Jeep!!
