Rare, lean, nd about as nice as they come in a vintage Jeep that was lightly driven and loved since the day the original owners actually drove it off of the showroom floor!!. This CJ-7 was a one owner find that has been immaculately cared for and was garaged over the years inside on concrete. 96,000 original miles. Both Sets Of Original Keys. Second pair of original keys still has their center tags (with key numbers) intact and not punched out. Original Owners Manual included and still in the glovebox. About as far off road as this Jeep has ever been is the previous owners 1/4+ mile farm lane.
Interior is original, lean, nd in very good condition!!! High Back Seats are supple, ash is solid, arpets are clean and look good . (Rear seat belts appear never used and still in their possibly original plastic) All gauges work except for the clock. Wipers, eater blower, urn signals & flashers, nd parking brake all work. Center console still has it's original cushion.
Exterior looks very nice!!! Metallic Paint was freshened at some time along the way & shines like new. Color combination and overall appearance turns heads anywhere we take it!!! Hard top has a sun roof, s in excellent condition and previous owner stated it has never been off the car. Color coordinated hard doors. The Laredo package featured lots of chrome and this one also has the harder to find wider style Laredo factory chrome rims (approx 8 or 9 inches). Swing away spare tire holder, 0/9.50/R15 LT Goodyear Wrangler tires, MC V-8 Emblems (on both sides) .
Original AMC 304 V8 starts and runs good. Easily runs highway speeds (75/80 MPH @ approx. 2800 RPM in 4th gear) with still more pedal to go. 2 bbl Motorcraft Carb. Dual glass pack mufflers sound nice. 4 Speed shifts fine and clutch is solid.
We've had this looked over (and under) by 2 different experienced vintage car guys and both claim this Jeep is in very good condition. Underneath has the usual dirt and some surface rust as expected from driving in and out of an approx. 1/4 mile gravel/dirt driveway of a secluded country home but both individuals tell us it looks solid and does not appear to have any major rust/rot or other issues!!!
4 Wheel Drive Works fine. (Has the popular Dana 300 Transfer case, amp; Lock out hubs)
Manual Steering & Manual Brakes.
Tachometer
(4) New shocks were installed last week and new gas tank installed in early August.
1970's era Cobra 77X CB radio looks like it just came out of the box.
This Jeep isn't a barn find!!!! It's been a fair weather driver that has averaged less than 3,000 miles a year over the last 35 years!!! Buy it today and drive it away, o a show or just for fun!!! Original Owners kept Ohio historical license plates (restricted use tags for antique & classic vehicles) on it the entire time since it became eligible for them at 25 years old in 2005.
Overall, CJ7 in this condition, nmolested, rive able, nd pretty much as originally equipped as the day she came off the line, s very hard to find. Interested Buyers may schedule a time to come inspect this Jeep prior to auction close. We are located in central Ohio approx. 30 miles east of Columbus. NOTE: We're offering this Jeep one time at auction before exploring other sales venue options. In the event it doesn't sell at close of auction or winning bidder fails follow through with transaction, here are currently no plans to relist.
Seller reserves the right to cancel the sale 10 days after auction close if unpaid . Clear title is in hand and can be transferred at time of pickup for cash sale.
