Near all original 1987 Jeep Cherokee Laredo... first year laredo. First year bullet proof i4.0 engine. Rare factory options like rims and FACTORY rubber undercoat etc... most solid 80s cherokee every mech says they seen and i cant go anywhere without jeep guys getting underneath it. Quite literally a near new frame and under carriage still remains.
CERTAINLY NOT PERFECT... but very presentable and i have really done a lot of work for the next owner. Has the usual chips, ings and paint issues a 30yo vehicle will have. Up close you can see just what Im saying... THE SIDE PICS MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT WAS JUST CLEAR COATED!!! IT IS NOT BUT AGAIN VERY PRESENTABLE!!! ITS ORIGINAL PAINT... IT IS NOT A NEW PAINT JOB!!!! ITS ALSO WINTER.... I HAVE NO WHERE TO GIVE THIS ANOTHER REAL WASH AND WAX BUT THESE PICS ARE LESS THAN A FEW WEEKS OLD!!! EXPECT THE ALUMINUM RIMS TO NOT BE AS SHINY THEY NEED TO BE HAND DONE ALL THE TIME TO GET TO SHINE THEY NEED TO BE RESTORED BUT AGAIN VERY PRESENTABLE!!!
MY STARTING PRICE ISNT EVEN HALF WHAT I GOT INTO REPAIRS!
Under 150k miles. Just put 1500 miles on it the last week around New England not even a hiccup... awesome on highway... all major fixes are done including head gasket and a complete new cooling system... Needs a couple sensors, xhaust... some tailgate work. headliner... interior is pretty awesome anyway. The transmission valve cable and throttle positioning sensor goes out of wack on occasion... only goes out of wack like once a month and it quite literally takes 10 seconds to adjust and jump back in and go. Cat is a bit loud but doesnt sound bad or like the usual bad muffler... which is what i left it and these few other things for last cause i could live with em through winter. I put a piece of rubber up under the exhaust near cross frame to stop it from tapping when taking a right. 1 exhaust hanger needs fix... THE EXHAUST IS NOT LOUD... THE EXHAUST DOES NOT RATTLE OR SHAKE AROUND AND YOU WILL NOT I REPEAT WILL NOT GET PULLED OVER. IT DOESNT SOUND LIKE A BAD MUFFLER OR HEADER LEAK ETC. FROM IT BEING JAMMED DIRECTLY AGAINST FRAME SOME MINOR ADDED VIBRATION CAN BE FELT.... THIS ENGINE RUN SMOOTH AND NICE AND WILL BE EXCELLENT WITH THE SENSORS AND CAM TIMING. THIS ENGINE WILL START IN LESS THAN 4 SECONDS FROZEN SOLID AS IT SITS TODAY THEN BURN YOU OUT WITH HEAT 10 MIN LATER!!!!!!!!
4x4 is awesome. Trans shifts good and will perform even better once final repairs are done. Has Power and Comfort mode Transmission. The throttle positioning sensor being off it doesnt like to kick down at high speed if floored in comfort mode. shifts like a beast in Power trans mode... got a tow hitch... myself and previous owner havent towed with it. I bet for another $500-$700 in parts this will go another 150k miles.
Drivers door window and tailgate need minor work. Drivers door has a tear on part of leather. Zoom in on driver door photo... Drivers seat is a bit.... sat in HAHA... whoever had it before me was big and though not ripped or ugly you can tell by the way it sits a big guy was in it is the only way to describe it... its comfy though lol... BROKEN IN!
Front right caliper is from a different year and takes a dif type of brake pad. I didnt do it and it doesnt hinder performance... comes with a set of pads for each.
Could use suspension someday but it really loves the highway and most people want to throw lift kits in these.....
