I purchased this Jeep 5 years ago with the intention of pure sport off-roading, hough it quickly turned primarily into a highway daily-driver. In my ownership it has never seen "rough fun", hough it has sustained a little of the usual wear-and-tear. I would love to have it sitting aside for weekend getaways, ut I am selling it as part of a move and I feel it would be best in the hands of another Jeep lover.
I'm listing all the known items of consideration to the best of my abilities, nd if there's anything not mentioned here that you care to ask, lease feel free to contact me and I will do my best to honestly and specifically answer.
I have the CarFax Vehicle History Report from the time I purchased this vehicle from a dealer in 2011. I am currently the third owner. No accidents, irbag deployments structural or frame damage, otal loss or claims are on this vehicle, nd the title is clear.
I had the engine replaced in 2014 with identical Wrangler 4.0 L 6 Cyl. Actual engine miles at time of install was 88K with 207K actual vehicle miles. Now approximately 105,500 miles on current engine.
Clutch kit, hermostat & thermostat gasket, ater pump, /C compressor (plus 2 cans freon), earbox unit, nd serpentine belt replaced with engine installation in July 2014.
U-Joint, heel Bearing, xle Shaft and Radiator replaced 06/2012.
Service records for this major work is provided. Vehicle has had the periodic maintenance of oil and fluid changes but I do not have records for these as they have been done by myself.
Battery replaced last winter, nfortunately do not have receipt. Starts strong even after long cold soak.
Possibly could use an 02 sensor, hich is a guess from an occasional dash light (doesn't always stay on).
4WD in strong working condition. Haven't often had to use.
Tire Tread per Goodyear Auto Service, /12/2016:
L/F 10/32 L/F 10/32
L/R 10/32 R/R 10/32
These tires are still in great shape. The left rear tire was replaced 1/12/2016 after these readings were taken, ith a matching Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure (DuPont Kevlar lining). These tires all match and run very smooth.
The wheels are in very good condition mechanically and aesthetically, hough they have some minor scratchy spots. No irregularities or misshaped rims. All have locking lugs.
The spare tire (a BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A) is in good shape, hough it should be noted that two of the bolts are cross-threaded and it'll take some work to get behind and remove the wheel.
Spare wheel has dark surface staining (pictured).
The vehicle has been smoked in.
The interior is in good condition, ith no known permanent damage to any of the upholstery but for one small burn in the driver seat (pictured) approximately 1/2 the size of a dime. I've been told there are remedies for such damage, ut I myself have not looked into it. The rear seat has a little moisture staining, nd the sides of the front seat have some liquid stains, hough I believe these could be removable, r mostly removable, hould interior detailing be desired. There has been no apparent fading of the fabric due to sun exposure or other elements, nd the colors seem true to factory.
Has two front ribbed, ubber Jeep floor mats.
Flooring carpet is solid, nd has some mild staining. Again, his should be remedied mostly by any desired detailing. No known tears or heavy grooves.
On the dash, he left middle vent fins are offset but channel still allows air movement.
Some small scuffs on the dash by the passenger handle and airbag (pictured). No breaks or splits in defroster dashboard mesh.
Cruise control in fine working condition.
Parking brake is solid.
Horn inoperable, urned out from continuously running after first buying vehicle, hich was "remedied" after replacing and re-securing wiring loom. Horn needs replaced.
The passenger seat moves forward to allow rear passenger entry (as does the driver seat) but doesn't propel itself far upward properly, nd may need that spring mechanism looked at. Nothing seemed obvious when it first stopped working - it just stopped doing it - so I'm not quite sure the true cause.

The roof was new when I bought the vehicle (so slightly over 5 years old), nd remains in good solid overall sealed and connecting condition. However, bove the doors (pictured) there are normally plastic strips sewn into the canvas to lock the sides in place. Over time, s these are fairly tight and cumbersome to remove and attach, hey have worn away. The only true problem this seems to cause is under high-pressure washing directly to this area, nd a little water likes to trickle in. It has never been any known issue under normal driving or outdoor storage conditions.
The plastic windows of the top are in good condition, ith no tears, uts or folds. A couple small non-penetrative "dings" from folding top down and occasional summer storage. No yellowing or opaque, oggy spots. May need a light bit of reconditioning as time goes on just to get them crystal clear again.
All collapsible convertible top mechanisms are in smooth and proper operating condition.
The Sahara model is equipped with fog lights and are operated on the turn-signal tree by turn-pulling the tip out. These don't like to work most of the time. The lights are well mounted and the bulbs in good shape, hich makes me believe something's either off within the switch or the wiring loom leading to the fogs itself. Investigation of the loom or connections may remedy this but I do not know.
Vehicle includes black metal tail light guards.
The Pioneer CD player is handy since it is compatible with most iPods, nd for what it isn't compatible with there is an AUX-cord face plugin. What isn't entirely handy is that only one speaker channel seems to really be putting out noise. Jeeps are noisy anyway, ut might want to get some newer, icer speakers and/or make sure the wiring is still solid. I bought some Pioneer 4x6" speakers that I never put in, nd though they aren't really expensive I'll include them (new in box).
The roll cage mounted speaker bar is in good condition without signs of tearing or stains. I have not replaced these speakers.
Exterior running boards are in great condition, ith no signs of bowing, racking or supportive give. They're black molded plastic and they've got a little of that "greying" going on. In the photos I had just washed the vehicle, o the light and dark patterns are simply water, ot staining.
There's some rust on the rear quarter panel under the right turn signal (pictured), hich is a bit more than surface as it's moved through the paint. I believe this is partially common on these metal portions on Wranglers, ut should be noted.
The front bull bar is solidly attached and has some surface rust and the paint has dulled a bit. I didn't put the thing on; it was there when I bought the vehicle. It seems like it could accommodate a sizable winch, hich I myself never did get.
The hood looks poor, nd is one item that will need a little work to look great again. A few dings in the overall shape, ut the largest problem is that the finish has developed that matte-black, adey-corrosion surface. Weirdly enough when the hood stops so does this appearance anywhere else, nd I'm not so sure it wasn't caused by high heat temperatures due to the fact there isn't an inner-hood liner. So, echanically, ood is in good shape. Just needs a good redo.
Paint on the rest of the body is in real good shape. Some rock chips in the grille, nd a couple of the expected scratches overall. The photos taken here are almost immediately after washing. I'd suggest a little wax just to bring the true luster back. It's there.
The windshield has two cracks, op to bottom. No integral or dangerous issues are presented from this, ut it will likely need to be replaced if state licensing requires inspection.
This vehicle is sold as-is and without warranty. I assume no responsibility for any repairs on or after time of sale.
After auction close, inner is responsible for shipping cost and arrangement, r I will be available for local pickup in Berryton (city of Topeka vicinity), ansas.
Depending on method of pickup, will provide receipt of payment in person or via email, he Vehicle Title, s well as a KS Affidavit of Purchase document to be returned to me for State filing.
Thank you for your interest! This is a good and solid vehicle that is ready to go, ith just a few things along the way to make it perfect again.
