Description

Nice! 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Has had many new parts in an effort to make it better than factory new. I bought this Jeep with the idea of making it even more reliable than new and have done most of the work all ready. It started with a Slip Yoke Eliminator kit and the last thing I did was rebuild the 4.0L and turned it into a bullet proof 4.6L Stroker Motor. All of the parts were carefully selected to work well with each other and be as strong or stronger than stock for dependability. Overall the block was like new with 165,000 miles on it, ith not even a ridge at the top of the cylinders. The build went like this:

Block- Line bore checked(good), eck checked and flat(cleaned up only), ored .030” and honed, nbsp;Cleaned with cam bearings and plugs installed.

Head- Replaced with an aftermarket heavy casting with new parts because the 2000-2001 were prone to cracking.

Crank- Reman Crank that was 0.010 over from 4.2L

Rods- Original from the 4.0L and were checked and in excellent shape.

Pistons- Icon IC944 Premium Forged.

Cam- 505 Performance 263/265-14H because it wasn’t recommended to go over 0.450” lift with stock valve springs for reliability. Also the lifter bores were grooved to supply additional oil to the cam before the lifter.

Additional Parts- Clevite rods and mains, olly rings, .043” Mopar Performance Head Gasket, elling Oil Pump, el-Pro Gaskets, ll new Sensors.

Rotating assembly was balanced.

New 63mm Throttle Body to top it off.

All of this comes in at 10.09:1 static and 8.04 dynamic compression ratios wit a quench of 0.0645”.

Engine was completed and installed in March of 2013 with 165,873 miles on the vehicle so it has just under 20,000 miles and still has factory new like oil pressure with a lot more power and torque. Power is estimated at approx. 249hp @ 4900rpm, 03lbft @ 3500rpm. Transmission and Transfer case have no issues and shift normally.

Some of the other things we have done is a new headliner and I added the overhead console which works like factory. It is already wired for lights or what ever accessories you want to add with 30A relays under the hood. New Pioneer Bluetooth stereo with hands free calling and connects to your cell phone for music, tc. Ham radio and cell phone booster for the backwoods trips which is needed where we live. It has 4” of lift with 18” wheels and a set of Nitto Grapplers that are about 70% (12,000 miles on them) and new all aluminum welded radiator.

The Jeep has power windows, oor locks, nd mirrors with keyless entry. I bought but haven’t installed yet is a remote start kit that goes with. The interior is in great shape with no wear on emblems or knob labels. Exterior is in great shape with the exception of the two dings noted in the pictures. There is no known rust or any other body problems. With the original cost of the Jeep and what's been done since we have over $10,000 invested so far.

What I have on hand and will go with the Jeep is all new steering components including tie rod ends, ods, nd upper and lower ball joints. Just haven’t had time to install them. Also new shocks for the front to match the ones on the rear. I also have a new heater core because the heat is a little weak at times but does not leak. Vehicle was in a minor accident and damaged the drivers side front a little around the headlight and damage was light.

Me and my wife started this project in 2012 and other things seem to consume our time and the Jeep sits more than it should. We need someone to pick up where we stopped because this thing is most of the way to being a killer Jeep and I’m sure it will be dependable for years to come.

I’m sure I probably left out something and if you have any questions you can call or text me at 931-Six44-0737 or send me a message through Ebay. I encourage all who want to come and inspect or send someone before the auction close. This Jeep has a clear title and is being sold as-is with no warranty or returns accepted. I will be willing to help in any way I can to complete the sale and transport if needed. A non-refundable $250 deposit is required and payable through PayPal at the end of the auction with payment in full within 3 business days of auction close in cash or cashiers check only, ot PayPal.
