2wd Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo NOT wrangler 4x4 NEEDS WORK motor knocks Runs

02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2WD 4.0L I6 Automatic Local Florida Trade in. Clean CARFAX Good day and hope someone can use this truck overall its not bad. Here is what I know. CarFax has it as a three owner car with dealer service being done over its life. The last owner was a college student and apparently no one told her the importance of oil changes.This truck runs and drives as it sits. Transmission shifts as normal. Air Conditioning is COLD. Power windows,locks and seat all work. Matching Goodyear 225/75/16 all around. RF tire worn more than LF. Cloth seats are free from rips or tears. Carpet does have wear. Black all weather floor mats front and back.Here's a play by play of the truck as it was when it got dropped off. The motor oil is black. Not milky or freshly changed to hide anything. Nothing was in radiator and cap is worn. After filling up with water there water coming out of the bottom left. Possibly the hose? The motor starts but knocks. Not a tapping noise a knock. I Have not changes the oil to see if it quiets down or looked further into it. I don't believe it had been overheated due to the oil being black and not milky or smelly. I started this truck drove it around the complex and it shifted into gears no problem. I have parking lot tested nothing more. Body is clean with typical wear and tear of any used car/truck. Will drive onto a trailer or dolly. Great for someone who has a wrecked jeep and wants to swap parts or mechanic. Maybe even a father son project. These trucks are safe, eliable and go for ever.
